I'd lay odds that I am only a depressed child. Nights like tonight where I was incredibly happy to see my friend Jen, then insanely sad for no reason make me want to think otherwise. I know I'm not bi-polar though, I can't be.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Anyone can be diagnosed as "depressed" only a small portions of those people really need medication.

I'm in Michigan's School of Engineering and I am closer to getting a psych degree than an actual engineering degree.

I think this political psychology professor is overreaching on some areas.

The tests are just stupid.

The tests in my intro psych class at Michigan were all multiple-choice, but that made them more difficult because some choices would have very close meanings. The psych program here is definitely not an easy major, but it's a fascinating area of study to me, and I would love to take more psych classes (I've only taken the one).

thats true for all engineers
cept my dad
who tells us kids "NEVER BECOME AN ENGINEER"
we ask why and he'll say "because we could invent and design every friggin thing in the world you need or use and we'll never get the credit for it or get properly paid either"
and thats that
go fuck yourself.

Because our majors are the hardest.

The next time you spend 14 hours doing 20 homework problems, only to find that you did two of them wrong because of a single fucking minus sign that the book forgot to include then you can talk.

I'm a little angry about the situation, if you couldn't tell.
You can't go around building a better world for people. Only people can build a better world for people. Otherwise it's just a cage.

there are a group of engineer students at my university who hang around the hall outside of my sociology class every wednesday afternoon drooling over all the girls in my class
there are about 50 girls in that class and 2 boys so the engineers get all excited  my professor teases them a lot and we put signs outside the door and they write back.
it’s so much fun to tease the engineer students
