Let's see, I already had Somewhere Out There, I bought Somewhere Out There/Bring Back The Sun, Innocent, Clumsy, Mafia, the live four track ep, and the live an unreleased one. And I bought some Led Zeppelin stuff, all together it came to just over $100.

Yup, sure did! George rules. But, yeah, I just bought 7 more from Richard. My collection's slowly getting there. I just hop on Ebay every once in a while, if I happen to have some extra money. Gail, that's the SD single with "Let You Down" and "Starseed" on it, right? If so, I got that one from George. Thanks a ton for offering, though. :)

psycho groupie wrote:yeah I got Carnival last year. I got it as part of a 5 cd set. Sometimes you have to look at things like that. When people put up a bunch of cd's together. I just won 2 cd's off ebay. One olp an done chantal single I had been looking for for awhile.

That's very true. I've done that with lots of things before, not just auctions. Sometimes it's just easier to buy a lot of things, then sell the ones you don't want... heck, sometimes you can wind up making more money than you paid.

evanw60 wrote:Nikki!!! You outbid me on Naveed!!! Damn you!! I really wanted that one. lol, but anyways, I have bought a total of ten, but they're not all singles, some of them are promos. Now I just have to wait for them to arrive. All together I spent over $100, my wallet is thinning. :(

Eep! I'm so sorry! I hate that about Ebay... whenever I'm bidding on OLP stuff, I'm always so worried I'm bidding against someone I know. A few times, I've recognized the names that outbid me, actually. And, I collect both the singles and promos, too... course, most of OLP's "singles" are actually just radio promos, anyway... they really don't put out too many actual singles. $100 for 10, that's not bad at all! :D I'm paying about $80 for the 7 cds (and an 8x10) I'm getting from Richard. And my cds from George cost me $375. 8O Man, I'm crazy.

SoozyJ wrote:Did you win some of Rick's singles Nikki? Some of those went for silly money!

I'm horrible with names, but I'm assuming Rick = Richard? So, yeah, I did. I only payed silly money for one, really, though. The "Library Sampler" (http://www.ourladypeace.cc/cds/CD-PromoLibrarySampler.jpg) wound up costing me £18.96. Everything else was pretty reasonable. And, he's sweet enough that he's combining the shipping for all my stuff, so it's not too bad. :D

Yeah that'll be him. He prefers to be called Richard or Rich these days - but most people that have met him through OLP still call him Rick and we can't get used to calling him anything else - I think I might be in trouble for introducing him to various members of OLP as Rick :)

Hey Nikki,
that is cool you got that from Rich. Yeah we still call him Rick cause that is how we knew him as when he was on the boards. About 19 GBP-that is about $40.00 USA. That is why I try to stay away from English auctions. I got my RARE U2 single like that and it cost me a bunch, but it is super rare. Not many were released and it is only available on single and not on any D-so it was worth it to me. The most I paid for OLP was $40.00 for 2 CD set. i figure not too bad since CD's cost about $20.00.

George is cool. He is living in Australia now for the next year. I email him. ALthough I haven't spoken to him in about 2 months.

BTW. I went through my OLP stuff last night. I have 70 CD's. DAMN you don't realize it. I have some things I don't even remember getting. I got a Happiness CD Sampler with Waited/Blister/Potatogirl on it. I for the life of me didn't even know there was one, but obviously I have it. haha. Haha that is toofunny for me.

Yeah that is the SD single I have.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

I have three OLP singles.

Starseed, Naveed, and Somewhere Out There. I got Starseed and Naveed for $1 each, and SOT for $2. God bless my neighborhood record store. They love me or something. Heh.

Gail, if you wouldn't mind telling me what single it is in a PM, that would be badass. I don't go on ebay anymore, and I am not in my OLP collection phase right now, so if you wouldn't mind telling me what single it is, that would be cool. If you prefer to not tell me, that's fine too, I wouldn't get all huffy about it. I just thought it would be really cool to find out which singles you have.

Yay, so I've been calling him what he wants to be called! :D And, haha, poor guy... I don't know why people try to change what people call them... it never works.

Yeah, I hate the whole pound conversion thing, too... but since I'm an Oasis fan, I'm quite used to it. So, I don't tend to stay away from that stuff. I've paid some really crazy prices for some cds, so to me these auctions were a bargain. I figure, if I really want something, I'll buy it, regardless of cost. Money's not all that important to me... prolly cos I still live with my mommy and don't have to pay for anything living-wise.

psycho groupie wrote:George is cool. He is living in Australia now for the next year. I email him. ALthough I haven't spoken to him in about 2 months.

Yeah, he's a nice guy... I e-mailed him for a while, too... but I absolutely suck with replying to e-mail and kinda lost touch with him. :( I'll have to dig into my e-mail and reply at some point.

Hahah, if it makes you feel any better, I've got *counts* 75 Oasis cds. :freak: That's more than I thought I had... you really *don't* realize it! Hmm, that makes me curious... *counts* 38 Silverchair cds... and 36 OLP cds (soon to be 43)... :freak: Wow. I don't think I have anything I don't remember buying, though. That's hilarious.

I got the sampler tape when I won the IAH cd single.

Damn NIkki, thank god you do still live at home. that is a lot of CD's. Do you actually listen to everything? I don't really listen to the OLP CD singles much, but the other stuff I do. I rather hear the live shows then studio cd. I only wish I had video of SM concert. A few years ago, this guy ws going to sell me a video from some live show they did in the south. Lost touch with him so I never got it. I have video of every other cd though-so it is cool to watch. hey WOODSTOCK is the only place you can see Blister done(thank god)

Nah, I don't really listen to the OLP singles, either... I do listen to the Oasis and Silverchair ones, though, cos they've got tons of b-sides that aren't on the albums (and, to tell you the truth, most of Oasis' b-sides are better than a lot of their album tracks... it's strange). I'm a collector, though, so I buy everything I can get my grubby little hands on.

Mmmm... thank god for Woodstock. Blisterrrr...

Just by reading this thread, I must solely say this:

You people pay far more than an ASSLOAD for OLP singles

that is scary. I have all of those. I don't have the second IAH(with SOL) and the Happiness promo but I have everything else. WHo knows maybe one day I will start selling off my CD's. Funny thing is I can remember when Rich(isn't that what he is calling himself now adays) won those CD's

I finally completed my OLP single collection. I just won the Thief CD single, which was the one I was missing.

I guess I can say I am a fan now

as per R/S's site. If I was to get every released CD Single I am missing about 10

I don't have really double versions exccpt SOT, LIFE and Innocent.. It isn't necessary for me to own every different version. I just wanted the Cd singles of tracks released.

I was suprised cause it went for about $50 last time. I got it for $13.00. That is cheap in my book-so I was glad. It is all a matter of timing. SOmetimes if you wait you can get the singles for cheap. I got InRepair fora bout $10.00 and it was going for about $50. also.
