Sorry, I don't like what OLP's become. I'll keep to myself now.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

i must agree with alan, it's the same thing we've all been thinking, some of us dont really like Pop-Rock that much, we LIKED olp being Cutting edge and unique. Therefore we don't like where olp is going, plus it's not very hard to write pop-rock songs, or get hits with them. So it doesn't really qualify as Evolution, maybe Regression.

PS I don't want to hear any POP-ROCK = POPULAR ROCK, you all know damn well what i mean

PPS SWEET MERCIFUL CRAP!!! there's been like 5 posts since i started writing this

i think the reason we have 412^4235342467 of these threads is because everytime someone gives a negative comment about the band, they get flipped out on. we all have different oppinions and anybody should be able to post what they want, without needing to defend their oppinion 5 different times.

We've treaded these waters before countless times.......I guess reading these threads are depressing in a way. Just because a lot of older fans have nothing but bitter hurt feelings about the new stuff, and the new fans hate seeing constant criticism...........I really don't like going to this page as much.......maybe for a few interesting conversations and the downloads are always welcome......but the atmosphere sucks. I'm not asking people to change their minds, but please don't beat a dead horse.

I agree with The Other Matt.

Oh, and, Alan, while I disagree with the comparison, the "go ninja" thing was hilarious.

For some reason, I was looking at the "No warning" part, and I just thought of the syllables, and "Go ninja" popped in my head. The "no"'s and the "go"'s even fall in the right spots too. It's pretty funny when you think about it. That was all I wanted to say in my post, but instead of people reading my post as a joke, it was taken as another attempt at me bashing OLP, which it really wasn't.

something else, people need to remember us people that complain alot obviously hold OLP in a very high regard, we're not trashing olp out of spite. And if we really hated olp like you think then why would we hang around? We just expect more

Good point Clumsyboy. I guess the way some people talk its easy to forget that. Personally I like the simplistic chorus for No Warning........I need all the lyrics but Raine seems to put the enthusiasm into it that gives it an emotional edge. I think it has potential.

Though I miss the "good lyrics" days a lot........Raine's lyrical approach bothers me because he seems to waste that gift for thoughtful metaphors and unique visions. It was all very personal then........and that's perfect.....now he tries to explain it all to easily.....it really takes the meat out.

WTSOYF needs to be a little more expressive..........."I don't like you, or your shitty attitude, or the company that you keep"...........I know Raine has more to say than that......that doesn't tell me much at all.

I still like the new songs generally......sound like they might be pretty cool.......just hope Raine starts to build on those feelings and use his voice..

Oh, i agree completely... i feel that raine is really the only thing holding the band back from being how good they were before.
