I'm going to live at home if I get into Queens. For the first couple of years, probably.

Then I'll move into my dream place; the apartment above State Farm. All the lack of responsability of an apartment with the freedom to be loud that comes with a house.

Aww, you guys, your dorm rooms are so cute! I go to the University of Utah, and I loooove my dorm room. It is awesome!!! And how come I haven't met anyone who listens to bright eyes? All I've met is a bunch of dumb asses who like Metallica.

The only person I met that listened to Bright Eyes before me was Bethany, and we don't go to school together. I just recommend BE to everyone I know, then they magically become indie elitist fucks!

Okay, me and my brother had a plan. He was going to get into Queens and we were going to buy a house together there. We would get some uni kids to rent it out and, he would stay in part of it so he wouldnt have to pay rent. We would then basically have the morgage (i cant spell) paid for by the rent, he would have a free place to stay, and at the end of this all, we would have a house by the time I was out of high school.

Fast forward a year. In Wonderful Little Plan, now is right about the time he should be working to save up for Queens and/or taking a few more college courses. We should be looking for a house close enough to the uni, and big enough to rent out. Now he's saving money all right...he's leaving for africa in feb. Then when he comes back next fall, he will have no money, zip. So not only will he not be able to attend uni with absoulutly no moolah, he will also have none for the house.

Way to go Seamus

I'ze got to tell yall I'ze got the sweetest deal for university. the summer before last right before I was starting my first year my parents decided that the stock market sucked and decided to put some money into real estate. So they baught a house near the uni and rented out three rooms and 'employed' me as the 'property manager'. So not only do I get my own house, but i get paid to live here. Furthermore, my brother is moving to Japan for a year so I get his car and his compooter!

i can empathize, although poli sci isn't half bad when you have the hottest GSI in the world....despite the 18 books of required reading

if i had a digital camera i would take pictures of my suite.

mental picture: in my room there is clothes all over the floor and indie posters all over the wall and my desk is cluttered to shit.

the suite has a deftones flag there is a bunch of garbage and beer bottles laying around. There are 3 frigs all filled with beer and an X-Box and PS2.

the bathroom has a toilet which has puke all over it b/c the kid who puked refuses to fess up and sinks filled with remains of macaroni and cheese.

my suite is sweet.

judith (the suitemate) and i went plant shopping together and our living room now has a palm-like tree, a cactus, an aloe plant, and a chilli-pepper-esque thing in it. combine that with the batik tablecloths and a few candles and it strangely enough takes on a mexican theme. last night we were playing some mexican music judith has and sitting around with the candles lit. when people walked by in the hall we invited them to visit our mexican paradise. now all we need are a couple of sombraros on the walls and we're all set.
