i'm not attempting to be like doug, i'm just posting something i thought some people would be interested in because we have both a MG fan population and a pro-peace population, forgive me for posting ANYTHING without it being an utter work of art in your eyes, sorry if matt's journals arn't up to the par you expect from a music message board.....

why am i being considered Anti-american before you people know anything about me? You should all by know know my oppions on War, violence and such, i'm very liberal and hippyish at times. I took american history and i believe in most of the things your great country was founded on, and is supposed to stand for. But many current government actions have become very un-patriotic to true american morals and values. Many things bush's reign have done anger me and go against everything i believe, it has nothing to do with america, if anything i wish more people would take an active role and rise up against him, because he's destroying your great country in everyones eyes, he's making a mockery of your most sacred documents, and he's mistreating his own citizens. I don't hate america i hate what he and his ilk are doing to my world, and what he's done to your country as you shold too, if for no other reason then how he's caused your once beautiful country to be viewed by the rest of the world. Please insead of analyzing everything i say so you can call me down, or taking everything as a sign of anti-americanism, just think about what my articles are saying, or what i'm saying and think honestly whether they are true, because you are the people that can put an end to it.

PS Doug being anarchist makes it ok for him to talk about america being a corrupt country, but mine as a socialist doesn't?

i'm a fan of "almighty's" journal entries. i think it's good to look at others opinion of you and your country, and then you yourself look at the situation and base their opinion (as well as yours) on what you see. of course you would not be looking at a situation if "almighty" hadn't said anything.

you never cease to amaze me with your open mind and cool attitudes Reno, i don't agree that Matt Good used to think that OLP sucked and was a "put togther" band, but it doesn't mean i still didn't enjoy reading his manifestos

Wow, it's amazing how riled up people are getting over one guy's opinion. The excerpts are mearly a criticism of American foreign policy and administration. NOT an attack on the American people. The US has A LOT of problems at home, and create a lot of problems around the world. Canada has A LOT of problems as well. Every country does. An argument against policy and administration is not anti-Americanism. It's like saying someone who sympathizes with the Palestinean situation is anti-Semitic. It's just bullshit. It's obviously second nature to have pride in your country, no matter what country that is, but it is just blind ignorance to believe that a country is perfect and does not have to be held accountable for anything.
