Yeah america back in the beginnings of it with the colonists, they were so religiously inclined it killed people....the salem which trials....if you talked one bad thing your a witch, against god....but to add to that, in the bible they show people like moses and what have you getting messages from god by way of voices and visions or what have you....and now in the present day, you have people getting the same type of visions but are looked at as phychos....i know im ranting, but wow things change hehe

hmmm that was kinda off topic....... Canada also doubtlessly commited atrocities as well though in religons name. Catholic French colonists were locked out of politics for a long time. But regardless we didn't have quite as much in the whole slavery and witch burning area, either way though our past wasn't perfect either......its just most canadians don't seem to know parts of our history very well, because we have american culture and history pressed upon us at a very young age

notice how this article neglects to mention canada's draconian taxes on our wages, or our barbaric and ineffiecent social systems.

as far as "social causes" go, Canada is very libertarian. but we're one of the most barbarically liberal countries on earth. that's a long way off from freedom.

meh you win some you lose some, i we do have a much more telerant look upon things and are more progressive then many placesin the world.....not european progressive but good enough for being so close to america

Last time I checked, America isn't a disease. It doesn't make you less tolerant. It doesn't make you poor. It doesn't make you ignorant. You can't possibly blame America because Canada isn't as progressive as some European nations. That's Canada's fault, not America's.

actually i was reffering to your countires influence on ours, there for we are doing very good at keeping with europe considering we have a neighbor that doesn't believe in many european ideas, your just waiting for me to say ANYTHING so you can jump on me arn't you?

Because one country believes one thing, it doesn't mean it will immediately swarm your country and make you evil.

we share all your media and it influences us to a HUGE extent, therefor American ideas and values easily become our own, seeing as how we don't have such a strong Swede or other european influence, it's less likely we would take morals and ideals from them, really i'm not even calling down America in that last statement and you still jumped on me
