sorry, but that's the most rediculous thing i've ever heard unless you are very, very, paranoid. im not exactly an advocate of government but that's something a middle-school pothead would conclude

the war on drugs is done to keep prices high and basically create another way to divide people. it's a control structure.

and one joint (1g of weed) contains the tar content of 4 cigarettes, but no nicotine. it does not kill brain cells. it is very fun.

there is no reason to not smoke weed, other then fear/no interest. anyone who preaches that only the ignorant/stupid smoke ganja needs an education.

I have no moral problems with it whatsoever. people do it around me alot less than smoking, so they're not going to kill me. It shouldn't be anymore illegal than alcohol, as alcohol tends to have more of a bad influence on society than weed. If it was legal though, it would probably become much harder to get ahold of, at least for underage kids.

It's the people that abuse it, do stupid stuff that should be to blame for its bad rep. The 'government' would have no way to tell us how horrible it is if it wasn't for the data of these dumbasses backing them up.

Why put a veil over reality and become (forgive the cliché) "dazed and confused"? I think it's pretty sad if you need a drug to alter your view of the world before you can enjoy life.

There's not always a deep meaning for why people get high ... it's actually pretty simple ... it makes you giggle ... there's no "veil over life" or anything

I'm explaining why I don't smoke weed. And that makes me have a stick up my ass? I feel it's illogical and that there's no need for it other than to feed an addiction started after the first few "experiments".

i like to smoke weed every now and then. i think it's fun, and besides, i don't care about my health too much anyway.

I've never tried weed or any other drug. I havn't even drank which I know is sad but I don't see the point in it. I'd rather feel healthy and be myself then be someone who is always high and out of it. But I really don't know much about drugs or alcohol this is just my opinion.

weed works for some people and for others it doesnt, its that simple

they know it would make people less controllable, therefore they made it illegal.

weed cant kill you in one sitting, unlike alcohol which can. alcohol is 10x worse for you than weed... yet its legal. u know why? cause it doesn't open up that other 90% of your brain that the govt doesn't want u to use.

the govt would make mad money if the legalized weed, from taxes and such. but they wont. that is why its illegal.

of all the reasons for legalization for pot, you had to use this one. that it opens up your mind?, nevermind the medical purposes.

Doug is quite open to things like this, and he has admitted that he doesn't do weed.

the smoking of weed and cigarettes puts carbon dioxide into your system, where as alcohol puts ethanol into your system that your liver can get rid of. one sitting might get you drunk if you've had 5 beers, but what about 5 joints? what if it's KB or some other refined weed? a more refined alcohol like liquor or wine, is served in smaller quantaties, so that 5 shots are the equivalent of 5 beers. a joint of anything else is just that....a joint.

the government would make mad money if it were legalized through taxes. well considering the state of our buget and the expenditures spend on military in Iraq, why don't they? It would theoretically be the awswer to many a buget crisis that 46 out of 50 states in the US need.

the truth is, while it would make "mad money" government would have to invest it back into rehab clinics, and medical expenses of users. since they don't endorse the use of any drug, they really don't have to. but they do anyway.

my solution to this problem is this, if your convicted of smoking pot or in possesion of pot, you should be denied any government medical program pertaining to smoking weed.

the health concerns associated with the regular smoking of marijuana are almost nil.

the "smoker" you hear about on TV and in anti-smoking adds is not a person who smokes 4 cigarettes a day. it is a person who smokes 25. some smoke 50. smoking 4 cigarettes in a day increases your chances of lung cancer by about .0000000000004% each day. most of which, your body can easily regenerate by the next day.

the use of marijuana is no different from any other recreational activity.

frankly, if you haven't smoked it, you're not really in a position to comment on it. you can't say "i don't smoke weed because i don't like losing control", because you have no idea of what it's like to be high. without having experienced it firsthand, you really don't know anything about it, because everything the government has ever told you about it is a lie.

That's like saying "if you've never raped a little girl, you can't comment on it". (that is of course way too extreme, but you get my point).
