I think Bend and not Break and I Am Missing stick out really well.

Chris said in AP that part of his set would be solo. He didn't say weather it would be acoustic or not...

i think Chris will leave Vagrant he is going to put up big numbers with this one. He also said in an interview that none of the set will be acoustic and all songs have been worked to fit a whole band. So yea maybe a acoustic encore but that will be it.

i was never into dashboard until recently, so I snagged a copy of "the places you have come to fear the most," and that CD friggin' rocks. I've also heard some of Bright Eyes "Lift..." , that CD is darn cool, too.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

i am excited. the new hands down kicks my butt.
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

I haven't heard any of the new album yet, but Hands Down is probably my favorite Dashboard song from previous albums, so I really can't wait to hear that!

I know this is a tad off topic, but did anyone buy a second copy of Swiss Army Romance just for the bonus tracks? I did

My friend sent me the cd via msn (the new one) and its great. I love it! I saw dash on tour with Weezer last year I think and I loved it. I have been a fan since he came out in FSF though. ;)

I am with rob the new hands down is way worse then the original

rolling stones gave the new album 4 stars I don't think they ever know what they are talking about.

the amped-up rock production just makes his songs more powerful

like hell it does it makes them less

The acoustic guitar always makes songs sound more solemn.

Anyone here notice that Chris Carrabba took away everything that made him unique? It was just him and an acoustic guitar. Then a band and an acoustic guitar. Now it's a band. It's like he wants back in Further Seems Forever, but wants to whine more. It's sad, really.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

The new cd isn't whiny to me. It seems like a new chapter, and a good one. I'm sick of people thinking bands should always stay the same.

I know this is a tad off topic, but did anyone buy a second copy of Swiss Army Romance just for the bonus tracks?
No, but I do have the new songs. Neither of which were reason enough to re release the cd.

I like the amped up version of Hands Down...

Sorry Rob...I forgot about it. But as soon as I get home I am still gonna dl some!

i hate the dashboard confessional. always have. always will.

so, in other words, i didn't like them before they were cool, which by default makes me the coolest person ever.

So yeah, this cd will have 12 songs on it. And of the 11 new ones, I think Dashboard will remake 8 of them for their next three cds.
