Sorry, just curious. Seemed quite odd to me.

It was only after two weeks because I haven't read the thread in a while, and someone just recently posted in it.

Well, when I think of punk, I think of real punk bands that sang about political issues, not being dumped and having fun. That's not punk rock to me.

When I think of pop/punk, I think of stuff like NFG and Good Charlotte. Even though The Ataris are nowhere near being as bad as the two bands I just mentioned, they fall a lot closer to being like them than being like The Clash or The Ramones.

That is why I don't want to label what I listen to. I just consider Alkaline Trio music. Not emo, not punk, not pop punk, just music. I leave it at that. I don't need to complicate music anymore than it is already.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Okay, I see where you're coming from. I'm not that into the punk thing, so I just saw something that seemed to have a mix of a rockish sound and a punk sound.

Agreed!
Just because I am sexy, naked, a bassist, and sporting a top hat doesn't make me Duncan Coutts!

why? that's what some people want. some pop music that is easy to access and nothing too serious. it's not like they're bothering you.

Well, here's the deal. If you want to make easily accessable pop/punk tunes, at least do a better job of ripping off NOFX. It seems kind of half-assed.
