You gave fewer choices for this poll than you did in the Canadian PM poll.

Doesn't matter. Like I said before, Canadians are bombarded with American history lessons all the time, where as the same does not often go the other way.

If it makes you feel better, the entire WORLD is bombarded with American culture, not just you. :P

A little bit. It's sad to see kids that know more about the US than their own country.

I agree with you there, but does it bother you that Canadians learn more about the US than Americans learn about Canada?

No, just that Canadians learn more about the US than Canada.

i find it annoying that we know everthing about america (or at least more then lots of americans) yet they never take the time to learn anything about us, for such good friends they sure seem to know jack squat......

a few days ago this is what happened at work
Me: are you guys here from North Dakota?
Them: *looong pause* no we're from manitoba....
Me: Where abouts?
Them: *uhhhh* Over there points aimlessly
Me: ahhh ic *moron*

Also i probably can name almost all the states when looking at the map, where as many americans can't.....hell when we went florida and said we were from manitoba they asked us whether that was near new zealand, after explaning it was in canada, they procedded to ask us whether that was anywhere near Toronto...., after explaining it was right above North Dakota, thay asked "where's north dakota???? :wtf: ?"

i have more stories as i think all of us canadians do

Well, plenty of Canadians don't know jack shit either. We're not the only country with some dumbasses.

Furthermore, since Canada, unlike America, tends to mind its own business and doesn't act like it rules the world, it makes sense people would know more about America than Americans know about other countries. *shrug*

lets be honest here.... why should Americans know anything about Canada? How much do Canadians know about Argentina or Greenland? How about Angola?

because w're right next door, and share, media, trade, and language. Plus we mingle freely in eachothers countries all the time. Plus if your going to a country you should have some idea of the country.

Exhibit A: That show where Bush declaired his respect and friendship with Canadian PM "Jean Poutine", before his presidency.

they also had the americans convinced that our timw was in metric and you could convert american 4.5 american hours into one canadian hour. Not to mention the one where they covinced them that we didn't have nickles or dimes instead we had Rupies and Zens
