Hey everyone, we missed their tour, but Radiohead is going to headline the first night of the Coachella festival on May 1st. This will be their only concert in the US during 2004, and we're still accepting donations, so who wants to help out?

kyks17 wrote:Hi there!
I come to you because you all are such nice people and I thought I'd plead my case with you. How many of you have heard Radiohead's new album?? Yeah!!! And how many of you love it?? Alright!! Now how many of you are going to see them live? Well, whatever that number may be, it will be 2 less than it should be if all doesn't go well for me (or us) :O
I'm in LA and I want to see them play here in September. Only problem is, my friend that wants to see them lives in Oregon :-\ We're both poor college kids and can't really afford (even between the 2 of us) to get his arse down here in order to see them (and it's not like he could see them in his state, they're not playing there).
This is where you all come in! I know I'm not a very active poster and you may think, why should I help you? Well, because you'd know you did a good deed

Josh (my friend) will need about $140 in order to get down here and back...If any of you could find it in your hearts to help donate that money, it would be greatly appreciated

If each of you donated just a couple dollars, we'd be able to afford it and you'd have helped make 2 CMers very happy

Thanks for listening, guys!
Chances of that working on the CM are slim to none, as 90% of the CM population are also broke college students (or Canadians, who's money is as useless as toilet paper

)

i like the old money better, its the only paper money that really looks like money to me. The american stuff looks like monopoly money, and whats up with it not all being the same size? the new canadian money looks like some random peices of paper that arent money at all

Ours isn't multicolored.
... that being said... we have the ugliest money in the world. Blah. But at least we have paper 1s!!! You people and your dollar/pound/etc. coins... pssht. Weirdos. Why you wanna lug around all that heavy money?!?!?
(Oh, and our new $20s don't count as multicolored cos the colors are so muted and just plain oogly. Blech.)

We used to have pound notes. But they changed to coins in about 1982. I'm not sure why.
