Yeah defintely download Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades. Its my favorite on the cd. Also Me vs Madonna vs Elvis is really good, its a very laidback mellow song.

This is a very good record.... But do not buy it expecting YFW..... This cd is very different and like others have said I would not classify it as punk. It's a lot more mellow and it sounds nothing like YFW..... But non the less it is a great cd and if you are a Brand New fan you should go out and buy it

Yeah 'm sorry... I wouldn't really classify YFW or the band themselves as punk either..... After thinking about what I said... I'm wrong about that statement... But the record does have a total new sound from YFW, that is one thing I am sure of

wow so now you are going to play the music elitist rule too
i meant TBS/Starting Line punkish not the Ramones. Calm down I am not claiming them to be hardcore punk.

I dunno, I can definitely see the similarities between The Sex Pistols and The Clash and Brand New. They go hand and hand.

fine fine i will be more careful when classifying music
but this whole wave of music is still punk by modern terms or punk/emo...i think it needs its own name.

can it be compared at all to soco amaretto lim/mix tape/no seatbelt song?
i think those may very well be why i like that cd so much better than tbs/the used/ a bunch of other stuff
either way i will definitely buy this one, and more than likely love it.

calm down? uh, ok. i was just stating a fact. i don't even listen to punk, sooo i doubt that'd make me a punk elitist.
edit: that sounded mean, but it's not. just to clear things up.

You should listen to punk. It's some good music. Culture yourself. I think it would be worth your time to download some new stuff, you have nothing to lose but a couple of minutes.

sorry you just came off sounding like you were elite. brandnew is similar to AFI in my opinion. It is all punkish music.

Nah, I hate to undermine you here Rob, but there's a difference between Brand New and AFI. AFI is closer to real punk than Brand New. AFI sounds an awful lot like The Misfits, and well, they're punk legends, while Brand New has an easier sound to them. Neither of them are political, but I can say that Brand New is a hell of a lot easier to listen to and like.
