Stillman, by all means, should be dead. There is nothing scarier than an Al MacGinnis slapshot.

Detroit will win the series. And all Blues fans should watch out for thw Wings. Remember, St. Louis = Detroit's bitch in the playoffs. Don't deny it.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

TOTAL DOMINTAION

Way to start the series out with a shutout Ozzy! If the Blues can keep the defensive play tight and play diciplined (ie not getting goaded into dropping the glove like Brad May was trying to do) They're going to have a good series!

I don't know if I can go to sleep now! I am TWEEKED!

GO BLUES!!

 good luck

I cant imagin how hard the detroit/anaheim game would have been to watch for ducks fans. I like them, but I'm talking about the hardcore fans who like them as their #1 team. They got outplayed sooo badly in OT the suspense would have had me shaking. But they won!! go ducks!

Tonight's game promises to get interesting...get some pay back Oilers!

DALLAS, Tex. -- The Oiler most surprised by Derian Hatcher's elbow in Game 1 was obviously Steve Staios, who took the brunt of it in the face.

The rest of the team will tell you they had seen it coming, not on that particular play, but over the course of Hatcher's career.

"He hits a lot like that. He's a head hunter," said Oilers GM Kevin Lowe.

"Do I think it's suspendable? Probably not in the playoffs. But forewarned is forearmed. He does it a lot."

When the Oilers met the Stars in 1999, Hatcher was suspended for the entire Dallas sweep after a vicious regular-season hit on Jeremy Roenick, who was with the Phoenix Coyotes. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Dallas defenceman left his feet and threw an elbow into the side of Roenick's head. The attack broke Roenick's jaw and Hatcher was suspended for the final two regular-season games and five playoff games.

This time around, Staios came through with a fat lip and a swollen nose and will play in Game 2 tonight. So will Hatcher, who was not suspended by the league.

That means the Oilers will have an opportunity to let him know what they thought of the hit at the Stars blueline, which resulted in a five-minute major and a game misconduct.

"He had his elbow up," said Georges Laraque. "That was very dangerous what he did to Steve. You don't do that. We're lucky Steve got up. You could kill somebody like that."

With just two minutes left in the game at that point, and the Oilers protecting a 2-1 lead, nobody went looking for revenge. But that doesn't mean they accepted the hit.

"Absolutely, we're really (mad)," said Ethan Moreau. "Any time you see a teammate of yours go down, it's a natural reaction to be (mad). You've got to channel it in the right direction, whether that means a big hit on him or one of their skilled guys, that's how we'll get our retribution."

the thing that i hate most about that hit by hatcher is that he still claims that it was a clean hit. he's all like "i've seen the replay and i did everything right". fuck him, i wish he'd been suspended.

Go OIL!
