I'm not thinking WW3 quite yet, I'm guessing something like the golf war. US will bomb till the war is over in a couple weeks maybe, and then keep bombing while making themeselves look like good guys.
then we just go back to the way things were until another 5 years or so have passed, and there are twice the terrorists with twice the hate and more countries/people trying to to build up weapons.
what I dont like is that my brother is in europe for the next little while, and if war starts now he might get stuck there.

i think that if we bomb Iraq there are going to be a lot more terrorist issues in the US. Thus far the government has proved no knowledge of how to stop terrorist attacks just how to color code the situation. So if things go Red or Orange just be more alert b/c they think bad things are going to happen.

this war will breed terrorists like crazy in Iraq. there's so many innocent people there affraid of the us right now. Bassically their whole population will hate america, and a lot of people will take the next step following hate with terrorism.
.
plus all the pottential terrorists currently in the US may let loose when the war starts.

the edge did some interviews yesturday b4 the "music as a weapon II" show so they had the guys from chevelle, disturbed and taproot into the edge.. this is (essentially) what dave draiman from disturbed said about this issue (i may have made some minor errors while typing it out but the gist of it is correct and all)
"if you want to stop things like 9/11 like george bush is making the impetus of this whole attack is.. then just drop a bomb on iraq and lets see the whole islamic community rise up in an islamic jihad against the states and see how many 9/11s occur"

I am fucking paranoid about this. We're going to go to war with a country that did nothing to us, so why should we be bothering them. Let them do their own thing. It's not worth wasting the lives of people my age to fight the war of a bunch of 50 year old men. Why doesn't Dubya go over to Iraq and shoot some Iraquis? I mean, that is what he wants everyone else to do, therefore, he should be there shooting people too.
Like I said, I spoke to my history professor about this last semester and if the draft gets reinstated, I could very well be going to fight on some sand dunes. He told me how the oldest male in college is free from fighting the war, but everyone else after that is pretty much free game for a draft. I don't care, I will move to Canada and stay with my aunt and uncle for a year or two. I will be a draft dodger, I have no problem with it.
What I don't understand is why do people support this man? What kind of people think that war is the necessary choice here? The only true supporters of this goddamn war are people that just want to hold an M-16 and old people that are out of the draft age.
If war is what they want, then they can send all the mentally unstable people that want to kill and the old men that support murder over there, I am not going to go. There is nothing wrong with Iraq, they're just living over there. There was a stupid fucking report that said Iraq may or may not have anthrax, so Bush decides to go to war against them so people will re-elect him and forget about the economy he helped to ruin. Wow, a few hundred thousand lives, and potentially a few million American casualties are worth another four years in office. Fuck America. I hope Iraq kicks the shit out of us in the war, then we won't have to deal with assholes like Bush in office for a long long time.
While we're at it, why doesn't some one go ahead and assassinate Bush? We don't need him in office at all. All he will do is send a few of the male posters on this board do an early grave in a goddamn sand dune, along with hundreds of thousands of other people to die, so why not just kill him before is starts and we can have the Cheney run the country hooked up to an iron lung or something.
Bush and the republican party has gone too far. I hope all of you people that voted for Bush are fucking glad it came to this. While you're at it, seeing that you voted for Bush and all, I hope you're among the first sent to Iraq, and while you're over there, I hope regret every goddamn second you're over there thinking "wow, if I voted for Gore, maybe I wouldn't have to watch my friends die in front of my face."

I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

My mom got a 2 page letter in the mail saying that if our house was ever bombed in a terrorist attacked, it wouldn't be covered by insurance .. right .. if our house was ever bombed we'd be dead anyway ..
Then my uncle who's a truck driver had to sit through hour long info sessions about how they can't leave their trucks unattended and what to do if there's any shady looking people hanging around the trucks .. mainly the propane trucks .. I guess they're scared of terrorists taking the trucks and blowing them up somewhere ..
They've even been tightening the security at work too .. cuz it's an american company .. everyone is freaking out
I go into the mall and Radio Shack has all the tv's tuned to CNN and they're talking about how if Iraq was smart they'd bomb Niagara Falls, since the power supply is there .. then the guy looks at me and goes "we're all gonna die if they do that"
Right ..

CNN is the channel of the devil. Iraq knew where we were going to strike before we hit it because CNN would report it on their newscast every hour. They are giving countries ideas how to kill us and giving away all our plans if we were to attack. Way to go CNN, make everyone's life a little bit tougher.
