Ugh, this behaviour pisses me off to my very core. No offense to actual Buddhists, but this mentality of your's is bullshit, and I've seen it far too much around my school; kids calling themselves buddhist or wiccan because it just makes them look so damn hip and mysterious. You treat this noble religion like a flag to be waved at people, or a fucking magazine to be subscribed to, do you actually believe in it? Did you ponder on your own ideas and recognize similarities with your personal ideology and buddhism? I doubt it. Where do you get off calling yourself Ananda and putting "ohm shaanti shaanti shaanti" in your profile? It's a gimmick to you!

umm... and all Buddhists just go to horrible movies to make out with their girlfriends, right? hah. I am currently studying Taoism.. not to be "Hip" or "Deep" or whatever you cool cats call it. I took that test and Taoism was high up there... well Universalism Unitarian or whatev was at the top, but Taoism was high up there. So I bought the Tao Te Ching, well, as translated by some professor, and I read the Tao of Poo and The Te of Piglet. They are pretty good.

Why bother proclaiming yourself to be any specific thing? It's pointless. You are your self, not just an "ist". Why not just learn from as many sources as possible and find your own beliefs? Bleh, nevermind.

what's with all this religion bullshit anyway? who cares? religion messes up anything anyway. i say just enjoy your life and forget about what happens after you die, you know you lived your life well then that should be it.

i don't bother with religion myself.
my parents have noticed recently that a lot of my opinions on matters differ from theirs, which usually have a substructure of religious belief, so they have begun pushing it on me whenever they get the chance. its starting to really piss me off. parents shouldn’t enforce their philosophies onto their children so much. they need to think for themselves as well sometimes.

Without you I'm as good as
