f you want to know about 8 million people live in NYC according to the most recent census.

this includes all boroughs(manhattan, Queens, The Bronx, Brooklyn and Staen Island)

BTW, I love the City. There really is nowhere on Earth like it. Yes there are so many problems and people, but if you strip away all of that(cause every city has problems), there arre alot of beautiful things here from the parks, to the architect of some buildings, etc. There is so much here and that is why I love it so much.

I love the fact that it actually IS the city that never sleeps, and that that's not just a slogan. Times Square is hoppin' at any time of the day or night (I was there at about 3am once, and it was like daytime without the sun... so many people). It's amazing.

I wished I could visit there. Detroit is a dump.

I love it to a point... It is really awesome to be able to see a movie at one in the morning... LOL! (I, like Nikki, have also been out around four in the morning and can attest to what she says) And I love when you just drive to the city at night...and you can see all the lights on in the buildings...and it just looks so beautiful. However, when I move there, I know I'm going to miss seeing the stars, not having to use public transportation (whenever I walk to a train by myself to meet someone somewhere, I always get catcalled... it really bothers me)... that sort of thing. However, I think it's going to be really exciting to live there (I'm moving there in July)

Yes. Detroit is a run down dump. There is one area of Detroit that is remotely nice, everything else is just scary....

hey now, you bitch. new york city IS great! it's one heck of a cultural center. plus, the clubs for concerts are like no others!

yea once you get to the concert before that you must sit in the sticky seats of the lirr or perhpas stand due to overcrowding then the subway and then there are too many people. man i just cant wait to do it all again on thursday but Bright Eyes is at the end of the tunnel this time so it will be well worth my damn over-priced train ticket.

i dont find nothing interesting about them. there are too many damn subways as well  (as kimmy and i learned on the trip to pier 54)

ahhh lol! it wasn't on the east side! or wait, was it?? haha

and c'mon. the lirr is not the city. it's the LONG ISLAND rail road. so if you ask me, that's a long island problem. money grubbing bastards...

and i'm quite fond of the subway, sure you can get lost if you don't know where you're going but, if you know say fer instance.... what side of manhattan you need to be on then you do just fine.
