same here... I bought it after liking understanding in a car crash and how long is the night, but didnt get to into the rest, put it aside for maybe 4 months before just getting into it again couple weeks ago. But now it kicks ass.

I love the new blindside.. i hated Blindside in general before Silence though, but now im starting to get a taste for them. Anything by the Smashing Pumkins is slowly but surely starting to grow on me. I decided i'd give them another chance after listening to Zwan.. and im glad i did.

I bought the Never Been Kissed soundtrack when it came out and I thought it sucked... Then I saw the movie again recently (I'm older and my tastes have changed) and I'm now frantic looking around the house for that goddamn CD. There's some good songs on there.

Hm... that would be cool.... if I knew where Roseville was... and had a car.. I don't think my parents would want to drive me out to a cd store when they could just take me to GLC. Unless I could get my brother to drive...

Must say Spiritual Machines (I was a newbie when I got it!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!) and Gravity of course, whose power over me continues to grow.

Naveed

I really started to get into OLP after the release of SM. I loved everything i had heard before it but, i had never really heard anything from Naveed. I'm one of those fans who progressed backwards rather than forwards. I loved every other OLP album up to Naveed.. it took me a lot of forced listens to like it.

^^ me too... clumsy happiness and SM came automatic but naveed i didnt like much for my first couple listens.... though i never hated it

I guess I can be heaped into this pile of OLP fans that first found Happiness and Machines, and progressed to like Clumsy, and now finally, the beauty of Naveed. Its a bit raw in parts and they improved some of their hooks over time, but it just kicks ass and I love the instruments and production alot more than the banal Gravity..........which I love anyways despite its deficiencies.

yeah i only liked a few songs at first, i still don't like "the rat that would be king" i see that he's trying to do somethinga rtistic with this song, but it always just annoyed me

I despised Happiness.

oh man. i remember my friend had happiness and i was over at his house. i popped that sucker in and listened to the first four tracks through headphones. i was in heaven.

Closer by BTE, i couldn't stand it... now i love it!

I hated Incubus, Make Yourself. I found it a few weeks ago and have been rocking out ever since. The cd that I probably hated the most was Gravity. I remember buying it the first day it came out and going home and listening to it and being on the verge of tears. I'd been looking foreward to it for months, and heard constant criticizm on the cm. I figured it couldn't be as bad as everyone said it was. I hated Innocent sooo much, and the only song I really liked was bbts. But then, two days later, I went to the mall and was treated with a great show. So it all works out, and I don't hate it anymore.

I still think they can do better, but I'm not going to start this discussion again.
