its better to have your own producer as they can view the music from another person's view...you may think your song is great but it's really not (just think some of the american idol tryouts!)

You don't think these guys know a good song when they hear one? they aren't some 17 year old kids from hicksville who think they can make it in the business... I'm pretty sure they would know what they're doing after being together for nearly 10 years

I mean Raine probably has the skills to do it now on his own, and I think this would be the best way to shut up all the ppl out there who think they're selling out by going to Bob Rock... then we'd hear true OLP music with no outside influences at all

I think that Bob Rock is more of a co-producer. A guide, if you will. He has a lot of say in what goes on the album, but in the end, it's OLP who decide what they want to do.

I agree Rob, but I think every band as some say in their albums... but ya it very well might be that he co-produced the album

No one messes with Bob Rock. I thought the guy would be a lot older... he seems to be the same age as the guys he's producing with. Who would have thought.

I smell a hint of sarcastic crybabyism in a few threads. Where's the OLP  I guess Gravity isn't their crowning achievement but for god's sake, what's done is done. If Raine thinks Mike is a limited guitar player he actually just might be!! I think he is creative as hell, but its not for us to decide.....I support OLP like the rancid zombie fan that I am.

Ya know, I could probably make that happen.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?
