I have to beg people to go with my to concerts, it sucks.

I talk to some people who are like "oh im from canada" and they think im going to make fun of them or something, but i mention OLP... and most people are like, "oh yeah, we also have some other cool bands like I Mother Earth..."

Canadian people rock.

Now, as for people buying what MTV2, tells them to. You're right. That's the whole problem with radio too. Corporate radio sucks. They give us a small selection of what we SHOULD like and some people just don't fall into that. I hate how there are so many artists that are "popular" who spend much more time on their makeup than their music. Until the radio industry can see that people are different, mine will be remaining off.

There are only a couple of people that I know who like OLP, but I wouldn't really call them fans.

One girl did a thing for english where we had to pick a song and analyze it, and used "Life". So I thought; "Okay, a potential fan here." But I was wrong.

Firstly, she said that the song is full of dispair, and that it's saying there's no hope for anyone, because life sucks.

:uh:

Not even close.

Then there's a guy who likes OLP, who corrected he whole presentation, so I thought "Hey, here's a fan!" But when I asked him about it later, he said that he only kind of likes them, and only knows the songs that are on TV. :freak:

I would have thought even a non-fan would be able to analyze that song pretty well.

Good choice! I would have done Naveed (because it's my favorite song), but we had to do it in a group and my friends didn't like it. They let me do "Stealing Babies" but I had to put up a fight.

Ohh. I did Carnival and Is Anybody Home. Some girl did Innocent for her song analysis. I was tempted to ask her how long she had been an olp fan, but I didn't want to get all snotty and egotistical. It was kind of funny, though. I was looking through the pile: j-lo, pink, avril lavigne, sum 41, and then you have my 2 page analysis of Carnival. I'm the strange one in the class.

I was then to be part of the mystery,
to love and be loved. Let's just hope that is enough.
