same here. the only person you can count on to be there for you 100% of the time is yourself. friendship is completely transient. all of my best friends have screwed me over at some point.

but brent, i seriously suggest going places and doing things outside of school. i met all of my better friends from somwhere other than school. it sounds hard to do and it is, but if you just forget about all the 'guidelines' you've formerly had for yourself and say 'fuck it' things will just happen. hang in there, you'll get through it. :thumbs:

brent whatever you do don't let this scar you. kids are assholes and most of the time they don't even realize that what they're doing is so painful to you. Don't blame them for it. Just move on. Trust me. It is not worth carrying this around with you because it will take years and years to get rid of it completely if you let them really hurt you.

ya, thats true...

I was the kinda the "outcast" person in my group of friends for a while, i still hung out with them a lot though but found a new group. The "outcast" thing kinda faded but i still like the other group better. I can hang out with both groups now, and basically have my choice of who to do stuff with. Plus I have friends now with better taste in music for concerts!

i have a group of friends who are popular and cool but have horrible taste in music... the other group are kinda "punk" and i like them too, but popular group hates punk group and vice versa.

I have friends in many different groups, but thankfully, none of them hate each other. I just hang out with them at different times.

Lori- I would have kicked their asses, then stolen the tickets back.
Of course, the upside is that they like OLP. None of my friends do, save two, who think Raine is hot :roll:

At least I know they aren't using me for OLP connections, since they don't give a shit.

Branching out to new friends is hard because you're out of your comfort zone. Talking to new people like that is hard. I think as you get older its easier. Our grade is much less cliquey as seniors than freshman, as with most classes, I think.

You also live near other cities though. Go to things in the city not having to do with school........meet kids from other schools.

Stick with your group, that's my opinion and I've actually had experience with this. Last year in 6th grade, my group hated me. They all thought I was a bitch because O.K. this may sound weird but my eyes go really big when I'm with my friends and having fun and then when I meet a new person that I don't know, I look really bitchy and mean and it looks like I'm giving them a dirty look but I'm really not. It's just you know how some people look friendly at first sight and others look like a real bitch? :freak:

Umm.. anyway uhh yeah and so I stuck with them and they started to realize I'm not really that mean and cool *at least I like to think I am cool*. I have a LOt of friends now we're practically inseperable. :love:

Some people are afraid to like start saying like hi and being nice to me cuz they think I'm gonna like bitch at them :uh:

How bout this for a concept? Don't form groups or "clicks". I used to be friends with anyone that I liked, not because they "fit in" with the group. I never associated myself with a circle of friends. I hated and liked people in each one of the "groups".
