I know. My dad imitates Raine all the time... why-e-i-eieeeeee!!!!

I forced him to listen to the ep, though, and he goes " I now have a greater appreciation for their talent." it's the starseed, I tell ya!

I was then to be part of the mystery,
to love and be loved. Let's just hope that is enough.

My dad makes fun of Raine too! When he sings the "I" in "I remember feeling low..etc."
Young girl, don't cry
I'll be right here when your world starts to fall
Young girl, it's alright
Your tears will dry, you'll soon be free to fly

My mom sings along to Alkaline Trio. I still find it disturbing to hear my mom sing "Shaking like a dog shitting razorblades." It is also odd because my girlfriend (if you can call her that) dad sings it too. I guess Alkaline Trio is not just for the dissalusioned youth, but for parents as well.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Oh my goodness, so does my mom! That's the funniest thing ever, moms are so weird sometimes.

Then again, my moms into that music, she's a huge Chris Issak, Lit, 3EB, and especially Sublime fan.

Yeah and she hates Our Lady Peace, first of all she calls them Our Lady of Peace all the time and she says Raine sounds like a dying cat

My mom hates my music. She never really says anything about it when we're listening to it in the car or something, but I can tell. But one time I was playing Gravity and BBTS came on and I was like "Mom, you have to listen to this song. It is such a beautiful song." And she listened to it and I was like, well what do you think? And she was like, "it's ok." And I was like "how could you like it?" And she said that she didn't like it because she didn't understand it. I was like :wtf: If I decided not to like everything I didn't understand I would never like anything really!

My mom loves that Puddle of Mudd song too. LOL.

My parents both like OLP. I make them listen to it all the time. My dad has seen them with my 6 times. My mom once, and met them :)

I try to make them realize they are luckier than some OLP fans.

My mom knows a lot of their songs though, and my dad always loved the trippy jam that Mike did in Starseed.

My mom likes all the same music as I do, but objects to me listening to the Sex Pistols, just like my dad did. Stupid family.
