Just got back from the "acoustic" concert in C.P. and what a fantastic show it was! It was a very cool, intimate setting under the small MSN bubble dome. They said that tickets would be limited to 500 people, but in the end there were around 200 fans there, all crowded by the stage... Raine & the guys were really feelin' the crowd vibe tonight!
Before they started, Raine said they they were going to be mixing the arrangements up a little bit... so it turned out sounding like a power acoustic show, which was awesome. They liked the sound so much that Raine even hinted that maybe they should record a record like this. The band was really relaxed tonight, talking and joking with the crowd in between songs. The music was dead-on through the entire set... very powerful... Bring Back the Sun & Are You Sad were especially incredible tonight... Raine was pulling off all sorts of crazy falsettoes, which sounded fantastic... and man! Mazur was creating some pretty imaginative & impressive solos all night!
The crowd was really great.... except near the end of the concert, there were these two chicks who worked their way up near the front and were trying to sing these stupid, exaggerated harmonies with the band (especially in SOT)... god were they ever awful! During SOT, it got so over the top that I saw Duncan look over at them kinda weird/surprised, looked over at Mike, and then they both started cracking smiles and laughing. A few people from behind me heard their screetches and told me to slap them if I got a chance (sice I was right near them)... It was very tempting I must admit
Other than that minor disturbance, the show was outstanding!

Here's what I remember from the setlist (in no particular order)

In Repair (opener)
Mafia
Are You Sad
Clumsy
Bring Back The Sun
Naveed
Do You Like It?
Thief
4am
Innocent
Somewhere Out There (closer)

where were you standing. We were in front of Raine.

here is the list of the show in order.
In Repair
Naveed
Do You Like It( which Raine said they recorded after teh Cd was being mixed.
Clumsy( where he had the audience sing the end of the song
Bring Back The Sun( which Raine said was done in one take)
Thief( which was amazing)
Mafia( I screamed out why is it called Mafia) Raine answered becasue he was called mafia at first and they never changed it. Actually if anyone remebers the SM Webcast teh song was called SPirit Mafia and they were saying Right Besides You
Innocent
Are You Sad
Is ANybody home( which started off with a piano/keyboard)
4AM
Somewher Out there( yeah those girls were annoying., Doing opera like vocals. I t was like Shut up I want ot hear Raine, Not you.

after the show we hung a bit and Jeremy was walking so I called him over to the fnac.e He came and talked with everyone, then they came out one by one and talked with the fans and took photos. The security guard there were dicks. I mean they actually yelled at Jeremy to go back to the tent like he was a child or something. Then when Jermey and Steve walked to the bus they wouldn't let thenm go near the fans. It was ridiculous. It wasn't the OLP guys or the guys who worked with them, but the MSN people. Get over yourselfs. i hate these Guards For Hire who think they are big shit.

I was probably near you then... a little off to the right though, near the opera singers :) One of those biotches was even mimicing the fall of the girl in the SOT video... now how gay is that?
I also couldn't stand those MSN people... they were probably the reason that OLP didn't play a single encore song as well.. If it was the band's choice, I have a feeling we would have been there for a while, because they seemed to be having a great time.

Hey Gail and other CMers whom were there who I may have met but don't know you're here., what a show huh?

This is Rob btw also known as Rob 3, also known as Coz or that short guy with way too much facial hair, a nightmare before chirstmas beanie (with the skeleton dude on front), with my lovely girlfriend commonly referred to as G, and having the unfortunate disposition of having to currently reside in NJ :P

Anywho it was so great to so unexpectedly and so randomly meet so many wonderful OLP fans. I really hope I can catch up with all of you again at a future concert or hangout or something! I really loved the show and must agree that security was ridicolous. Can't complain though, still got a uniquely gorgeous and spirited performance from the band, thanks guys! I hope to be catching up to all of you soon and I'll be around here a lot now I think :) I'm really tired myself so I'm signing off for now.,

Peace and Blessings,

Coz (Rob)

Yeah dude, I totally dropped off my camera first thing this morning. (By the way, thanks to Gail and Nicole(?? I think, I hope! yell at me if I'm wrong!) for going to get the cameras in the first place!!) By Monday I'll have pictures to post. Yaaaaaay!!!!! I'm still so buzzed (and tired) from the show.

On a tangent: Every time I go to New York, I love it more and more.

On a secondary tangent, can we bug whoever's in charge of emoticons to pirate the "hat" icon from eZboards? It rocks my socks hardcore.

Kimmy great photos.
I personally like Raine's Oxford University Jacket and little white hat thing. I think it had an adidas logo.

Is that Oxford University as in the one over here in England? I can't quite make out the crest on it from that picture, but it looks like it could be. Cos that would be so cool. Raine wearing a jacket from the uni I went to - never thought I'd see that!
