Only good thing about living in a place where nobody's ever heard of OLP: Cheap CDs!

I just thought of something...

Could she have meant the single? Maybe she overheard her brother and his friends talking about the Naveed CD, meaning the Naveed single...?

Yes, but maybe she missheard them, and they were talking about the single...

This is only a guess, but I know that in Canada there are two slightly (and i mean really slightly) different copies of Naveed released. When it first came out ('94), it had a slightly different jewel case, and the liner notes were printed on more glossy paper. Also the way the booklet is folded is different. I've only seen the original CD at a used CD store here, and in Toronto, so I'm guessing that they're pretty rare. Maybe they're more valuable? Whatever, I'm not selling mine! :P

okay the only thing I could think of is that Naveed was actually relased on two different lables here in the states. it was released on Relativey records when it first came out which since has gone out of print. You know the HMV down here doesn't carry Naveed. Then it was rerelased on Columbia/Epic records.
I don't know if that is why she said it or not. I tell you it was hard for me to find Naveed when I finally bought it. I actually bought it in Canada in 97 for $8.00(Canadian) So who knows. It is carried down here in NYC, but like I said you won't find it in HMV and it is rearly carried in other stores

yeah....when OLP played at tower in schaumburg IL, all the cds were out on a nice little display and on sale. all of them were $8.99 cept Spritiual which was $15.99. So i picked every one of them up  . About 50 $ for 5 great cds works for me.
Whats a signature?

It all seems so contaigious, not to be yourself and faceless in a song that has no soul.

And maybe you just need, a friend, as clumsy as youve been...

one thing to keep in mind is that we're talking about different currencies here. when it looks like our Canadian friends are paying a lot more for a cd, they're using Canadian money. the conversion right now is:

$1 US = $1.573 CA
$1 CA = $0.635727 US

forget the conversion. I will not pay $18.99 for a CD in American money. I wait till they go on sale. the most I will pay for any single CD is $14.99. I think CD's are expensive in Canada. They run from $18.99-$24.99.

I am good with conversions but I always look at things this way. Would I pay this much if I was in America. When you are Canadian you aren't thinking *Well this would only be so and so in USA money*. I have read an ariticle awhile aback how Americans think that since the US dollar is good in Canada it is cheap. Well it isn't, it runs about the same or a little higher.

I look at it percentage wise. If you earned $400. CA ands spent $50.00 for what ever it is the same percentage if someone in the USA earn $400. and spent $50.00.
I know I can't explain that very well.

Oh well.
