Personally I'm really excited for this album. I love Cornell and I love Morello and that right there sells me. Although I consider myself a fan of the former respective groups of Cornell and Morello and co. I accept change and that this is a different band with a different sound. I do miss Soundgarden and the former Rage but I am definitely giving the band a fair chance as their own entity. Although Morello and Wilk and Cummerford's signature sounds are there there is a different feel and vibe to it with Cornell's lyrics and vocal pinashe. I could see where it was a bit rough and underpracticed at first, and I doubt their first album will be there best but I do think it's the start of a very powerful force in rock and I'm sure a great addition to the music library. In other Audioslave news:

They say they have a second CD's worth of material already
They have recorded 2 songs with rapper DMX, one is expected for an upcoming soundtrack, the other for something else

That's all folks :)

Peace and Blessings,

Coz

I do like Audioslave. I will like them more with time. I like Chris.

I just need to listen to it and adjust to the fact that it isn't Rage. And there will never be Rage again.

And yes, while it does sound much different than Rage.......if you were to dub out the vocals, it is absolutly, unmistakably them.

And NO, Chris may be good, but he is not a better singer than Zach. Sorry.......I will declare myself HIS personal guard, and I may be small, but it will take a lot to get through me:) Difference of opinion

Okay, I could respect your difference of opinion if you were to say you think Zach is a better vocalist, but I've never heard Zach sing a single note, so let's use the correct nomenclature, here. :P

I like both fine, I think Chris is a better vocalist.

I don't think he's fantastic live, though, but neither is Raine. They don't hit the same notes they do in the studio. They both have incredibly unique voices, though, so it's fine.

I just want Soundgarden back....and why does Chris have gray hair?
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Someone agrees with me
I really do like Audioslave though, don't get me wrong.....

And yes, I do like Zach better than Chris as a vocalist. Personal opinion, and no one can shake it, I love Zach.

And Raine can't hit notes live??? :wtf: Have you been seeing the same band I have?? With the crazy falsettos that most singers couldn't hit in their wildest dreams?? Sometimes when he' s sick he gets off key, but its usually spine chilling.

i dunno, have you heard the under zenith live? it's pretty hurtin'.

i always figured there was a reason they didn't play songs like all my friends, wonderful future etc. live because it would be too hard on his vocal chords.

Heh, OLP always.....errr....are lacking on their live TV performances for some reson. I've never seen Under Zenith live.......but maybe he has improved with time. I'm sure the lack of TWF and AMF live has to do with vocals, but it also has to do with layering. I mean, those songs are pretty complex, and even with Mike I think they would need another player or two to whip those off.

Back on topic....fireworks in the video are cool.

Holy Crap!!! I can't wait for the album to come out. I have Cochise stuck in my head. Chris Cornell sounds so good with this group. I had my doubts but they have won me over. I just hope the rest of the album sounds this good.
