I keep hearing about Donnie Darko!! This is what they call "Synchronicity"

I'm gonna rent that soon. Right now Im catching up on all the Soprano episodes and nursing a serious crush on a fat, balding, crass murderer named Tony Soprano.

When I get it done, I'll do B&Ps for whoever wants it (B&P = 'blanks and postage' see www.goddamn.co.uk/tobyink/Documents/boo ... ch2.html#4 for additional info if needed).

Also, I might send a copy of the completed disc to all who submitted and are included on the cd - I'll see if I can work that out.

Yesterday, I recorded 'Stealing Babies' on my really cheap tape recorder. Believe it or not, I'm fairly happy with the results! Obviously, I'd get better results with a 4-track, but I think this is good enough to add to the tribute. Therefore, I'm ready whenever you are.

I think the only 2 people who expressed interest in possibly contributing are Dack and Emily Jane, just contact me when your ready.

I'm going to try to contact that OLP cover band 'Clumzy' and see if I can add a song of their's as they have a bunch of mp3s up on their site.

As said before, you can e-mail me mp3s (send me an e-mail a few days before telling me you will be sending an mp3) or send me a cd-r through 'snail mail.' I didn't think of this before, but I can convert from a regular audio cassette tape to cd-r really easily, so if you can't make mp3s or burn cds, that's an option too.

My e-mail address is bovine@enter.net Thanks for your interest!

You should consider it! This is the first time I have ever recorded myself, so it was a little tough for me at first too. However, once I recorded it and listened to it a few times, I actually liked it. Well, think about it and post or e-mail me if you decide you want to do it! Either way, thanks for your time and interest!!!

Just to update you, I put up a website for this cd at www.geocities.com/happinessisatributecd and I will add all important information there including which songs have already been chosen.

Also, if anyone has any idea how I could contact the cover band Clumzy that I mentioned before, please me me know...I tried to e-mail them via their site, but it appears that that address is no longer valid.

Thanks for your support and contributions!

Bovine I applaud your drive!

I'll be happy to submit a song --> is anyone doing "In Repair?"

EDIT: Clumzy didn't seem interested in submitting for the other compilation CD - I also didn't think their songs were all that great on their site...but try ICQing Scott from Clumzy #44099124 his nick is OLP. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did - he said he'd get back to me and he never did. Could have been me, people don't like me ;) Shit happens.

Why thank you for the applause :D

As for In Repair, that one's still open...it would be great if you could contribute that! Feel free to e-mail an mp3 to me whenever (or, if you have it up on a website, just e-mail me the address and I'll download it). Thanks again!!!

It's Me Again

Post by bovine »

Hello, it's me again. I just wanted to let everyone know that the deadline for getting songs in to me for the tribute has been pushed back to the end of February. So, for any of you who have been considering doing this since I posted before (or, for those of you who haven't seen me post before) there's still time!!!

My e-mail address is bovine@enter.net so you can e-mail me there or post here if you have any questions.

Again, everyone who submits an OLP cover will get a copy of the completed cd. Also, you can have a page on the website with some info about yourself or your band. You could include a link to a website, a picture of yourself or your band (I'll probobly have to limit it to about 100-150 Kb since GeoCities bandwidth is so small), your favorite OLP album and/or song, or whatever else you think would be cool.

Please check out the website http://www.geocities.com/happinessisatributecd but don't be discouraged by the long list of songs tentitivly taken...Only the few at the top (with the '*') have already been submitted to me and if you really want to do one that has already been done, I could work out putting 2 versions of the same song on the cd.

Thanks to everyone who has expressed interest so far!
