does anybody else know there is also a band called "not waving but drowning" its quite the universal term, as proved by whomever posted the poem. Also in the OLP spotlight on much, raine comments on the song clumsy before the video is played and says, it's all about those 4 seconds you have to decide if that person in the water is waving goodbye or drowning and trying to get your help. I wish he still talked about songs in concert again. I haven't heard him tell a story about a song since OMA at the last UB show
poor bush...i used to love them so much. Sixteen Stone was such a great album, so full of original straight out rocking music. I even liked Razorblade Suitecase. It was a little experimental, much darker, but still enjoyable. Then they just started producing pure crap, and i haven't listened to them since... :| That's why when I described my perfect music festival, I put them in as playing only stuff from Sixteen Stone and Razorblade Suitecase. Their older stuff was so good, and their newer stuff is so bad. Like someone else said, it's such a waste of talent and someone should give them a talking to

So bands inspire each other. Big deal. That's the way it has always worked and always will work, and who are we to judge or complain, for just look how much wonderful music it has given us

As an album, I like the older stuff better, it was very listenable, front to back.. and Glycerine still moves me so much.. but The Chemicals Between Us, and especially Letting the Cables Sleep are some of their best songs ever.. Jesus Online and Warm Machine are both really excellent. Golden State has some great songs.. Speed Kills is very old-Bush, but the stand-out track is Float, easily.
Check those last two songs out, if you haven't already. I think I might go so far as to say I like the new songs a little more than the majority of the old songs.
Chemicals Between Us is a lovely song. Letting The Cables Sleep may be my favorite though. I like Warm Machine and Jesus Online. That's not a bad album, in my opinion. I like Razorblade Suitcase, also. I have Golden State, but I've never listened to it.
Don't say we're healing when it's just not what we do...
