Mmm. New lyrics...

Coldplay - The Scientist

Come up to meet ya, tell you I'm sorry,
You don't know how lovely you are,
I had to find you, tell you I need ya,
And tell you I set you apart,
Tell me your secrets, and nurse me your questions,
Oh lets go back to the start,
Running in circles, coming in tails,
Heads on a science apart,
Nobody said it was easy,
It's such a shame for us to part,
Nobody said it was easy,
No one ever said it would be this hard,
Oh take me back to the start

I was just guessing at numbers and figures,
Pulling the puzzles apart,
Questions of science, science and progress,
Do not speak as loud as my heart,
And tell me you love me, come back and haunt me,
Oh and I rush to the start,
Running in circles, chasing tails,
Coming back as we are

Nobody said it was easy,
Oh it's such a shame for us to part,
Nobody said it was easy,
No one ever said it would be so hard,
I'm going back to the start
picturize the nights and days you close the book and float away and somehow in between you gotta master lying to yourself you max your cards get out of school you get a job your job gets you and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else

I've this creeping
Suspicion that things are not
as they seem
Reassure me
Why do I feel as if I'm in too deep
I've been praying
For some way to show them
I'm not what they see
Yes I have done wrong
But what I did I thought
needed be done
I swear
Unholy day
If I leave now I might get away
This weighs on me
As heavy as stone and as blue as I go
I was just wondering if
you'd come along
To hold up my head when my head
won't hold on
I'll do the same if the same's
what you want
If not I'll go
I will go alone
I'm a long way
From that fool's mistake and
now forever pay
No, run
I will run and I'll be ok
I was just wondering if
you'd come along
To hold up my head when my head
won't hold on
I'll do the same if the same's
what you want
If not I'll go
I will go alone
I need so
To stay in your arms, see you smile, hold you close
And it weighs on me
As heavy as stone and
a bone chilling cold
I was just wondering if
you'd come along
Tell me you will

I am driving up 85 in the
kind of morning that lasts all afternoon
I’m just stuck inside the gloom

4 more exits to my apartment but
I am tempted to keep the car in drive
and leave this shit behind

cause I wonder sometimes
about the outcome
Of a still verdictless life
am I living it right
am I living it right
am I living it right
why, why Georgia, why

I rent a room and I fill the spaces with
wood in places to make it feel like home
but all I feel’s alone

it might be a quarter-life crisis
or just the stirring in my soul
either way

I wonder sometimes
about the outcome
of a still verdictless life
am I living it right
am I living it right
am I living it right
why, why Georgia, why

so what so I’ve got a smile on
It’s hiding the quiet superstitions in my head

don’t believe me
don’t you dare believe me
when I say I’ve got it down

everybody is just a stranger
but that’s the danger in going my own way
I guess it’s a price I have to pay
still "everything happens for a reason"
is no reason not to ask myself if i am
living it right

am i living it right
am i living it right
why, why Georgia, why

this is one of the coolest fucking songs that there ever was. these lyrics are sweet.

Miss Jones taught me English
But I think I just shot her son
Cause he owed me money
With a bullet in the chest you cannot run
Now he's bleeding in a vacant lot
The one in the summer where we used to smoke pot
I guess I didn't mean it but man you shoulda seen it
His flesh explode

Slow motion see me let go
We tend to die young
Slow Motion see me let go
What a brother knows
Slow Motion see me let go

Now the cops will get me
But girl if you would let me
I'll take your pants off
I got a little bit of blow we could both get off

Later bathing in the afterglow
Two lines of coke I cut with Drano
An her nose starts to bleed
A most beautiful ruby red

Slow motion see me let go
We'll remember these days
Slow motion see me let go
Urban life decays
Slow motion see me let go

And at home
My sister's eating paint chips again
Maybe that's why she's insane
I shut the door to her moaning
And I shoot smack in my veins
Wouldn't you?
See my neighbour's beating his wife
Because he hates his life
There's an arc to his fist as he swings
Oh man what a beautiful thing
And death slides close to me
Won't grow old to be
A junkie wino creep

Hollywood glamorised my wrath
I'm a young urban psychopath
I incite murder
For your entertainment
Cuz I needed the money
What's your excuse?
The jokes on you

Slow motion see me let go
Slow motion see me let go
Slow motion see me let go

Ladies check me out! C'mon! (x2)
You're gonna run for cover.
I'm gonna be your lover.
I'm going to discover another love from someone else besides myself.
Uh-oh!

Clean livin' is the place for me. All my cares wrapped in a fantasy. Bid my sweet potato love's farewell, but without my baby I'm lost in hell.

Ever in love and far away. I miss my baby everyday. I love the little things she do.

Baby, I have fallen for you, take me with you. Don't care where I'm going, long as you're around. Ma-my-my-my-my-my-my-my baby, take me with you. You know it's always good times when you're around.

She has got the Midas touch. Boy I love that girl so much. Royal flush and I can fold. Everything she touches turns to gold.

Can't stand not to have her by my side, every morning, afternoon and night. Sweet little kisses whispered in my ear. Wanna hear 'em every minute, hour, day, month and year.

She gives me reason, gives me rhyme. I gotta be workin' overtime. Her eyes a deeper sea of blue. M-A-R-C-I and E. I tip my hat to chemistry. Don't need no scientific proof. Every way she loves me is the truth.

Agent of my world, my Pisces girl, my Shelley pearl under the sea. I'll be your man, from grain of sand, you make me everything I am.

I can't live without it, leave no doubt about it, when the water's clouded, you are all I see. I'm gonna come out color, I ain't like no other, lift me up and I will fly.

^^^ never heard that song

time is never time at all
you can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth
and our lives are forever changed
we will never be the same
the more you change the less you feel
believe, believe in me, believe
that life can change, that you're not stuck in vain
we're not the same, we're different tonight
tonight, so bright
tonight
and you know you're never sure
but you're sure you could be right
if you held yourself up to the light
and the embers never fade in your city by the lake
the place where you were born
believe, believe in me, believe
in the resolute urgency of now
and if you believe there's not a tonight
tonight, so bright
tonight
we'll crucify the insincere tonight
we'll make things right, we'll feel it all tonight
we'll find a way to offer up the night tonight
the indescribable moments of your life tonight
the impossible is possible tonight
believe in me as i believe in you, tonight

Tonight Tonight - Smashing Pumpkins (brilliant!)

When is 3eb's third album supposed to be out? I remember hearing something about Fred Durst being on the album, so I hope that's false.

You're the fuel to the fire
You're the weapons of war
You're the irony of justice
And the father of law

I've been waiting for awhile to meet you
For the chance to shake your hand
To give you thanks for all the suffering
you command
And when all is over and we return to dust
Who will be my judge and which one do I trust?

Angst...

You're the champion of sorrow
You're the love and the pain
You're the fighter of evil
Yet you're one and the same

CHORUS

album was supposed to have been released in june. it is finished now as they are touring it so i hope by the end of the year.

and no, it's not false. f. durst co-wrote and appeared on one track on the record, entitled "misfits". there are a good half dozen guests on this record.

but i've heard a bootlegged copy of the title track ( and likey first single ) "crystal baller" and it's fucking awesome. i hear as well that "an old friend coming over" is supposed to be totally unreal as well.

i'm optimistic despite the fact that jenkins' musical genius was tainted by her personal friendship with that no talent hack.

fred Durst has such a bad rapp because of Limp Bizkit but Fred was mad good in the Wish You Were Her cover on The New York Tribute Thingy to raise money... he did the song with the goo goo dolls (or Rzeznick anyway.. i'm not sure if it was the full band or not)

I'm so cool, too bad I'm a loser
I'm so smart, too bad I cant get anything figured out
I'm so brave, too bad I'm a baby
I'm so fly, that's probably why it
Feels just like I'm falling for the first time

I'm so green, its really amazing
I'm so clean, too bad I can't get all the dirt off of me
I'm so sane its driving me crazy
It's so strange, I cant believe it
Feels just like I'm falling for the first time

Anyone perfect must be lying,
anything easy has it's cost
Anyone plain can be lovely, anyone loved can be lost
What if I lost my direction? What if I lost a sense of time?
What if I nurse this infection? Maybe the worst is behind
And it feels just like I'm falling for the first time

I'm so chill, no wonder it's freezing
I'm so still, I just cant keep my fingers out of anything
I'm so thrilled to finally be failing
I'm so done, turn me over 'cause it
Feels just like I'm falling for the first time

Anything plain can be lovely
Anything loved can be lost
Maybe I lost my direction
What if our love is the cost?
Anyone perfect must be lying
Anything easy has its cost
Anyone plain can be lovely
Anyone loved can be lost
What if I lost my direction?
What if I lost a sense of time?
What if I nurse this infection?
Maybe the worst is behind
Maybe the worst is behind
Maybe the worst is behind

Rheostatics - In This Town

All around, there's a beautiful smell
And you can't smell nothing else
It's the smell
Of everything that we expel

In this town, there are cars and trucks
In this town are cars and trucks
In this world
There are streets and avenues

And all around, there is mmm and ahh
All around there's mmm and ahh
Then there's this forgotten little murmur
They call nothing much at all

You're such a happening fish
Flopping on me
Throughout all this time
So complicated, and unfree
From a young boy
With a tail
Into a fish with a book or two published

I love you, because you don't know why
You don't know why you feel resentful
And you weep... and sometimes you are cruel

I love you, because you took a stand
For those of us who are the weaker
Cause we're not fakes
We are the wild and we are the screwed

You and I, might have a lot to learn
But we're shot out of the earth and we tumble into holes
In the interim we're spinning and we don't konw how to fall
All the idiots who're talking don't know anything at all
All the famous idiots who're talking don't know anything at all.

it's been one week since you looked at me
cocked your head to the side and said I'm angry.
Five days since you laughed at me
saying get that together come back and see me.
Three days since the living room
I realized it's all my fault, but couldn't tell you
Yesterday you'd forgiven me
but it'll still be two days till I say I'm sorry

Hold it now and watch the hoodwink
As I make you stop, think
You'll think you're looking at Aquaman
I summon fish to the dish, although I like the Chalet Swiss
I like the sushi 'cause it's never touched a frying pan
Hot like wasabe when I bust rhymes
Big like Leann Rimes
Because I'm all about value
Bert Kaempfert's got the mad hits
You try to match wits
You try to hold me but I bust through
Gonna make a break and take a fake
I'd like a stinkin achin shake
I like vanilla, it's the finest of the flavours
Gotta see the show, cause then you'll know
The vertigo is gonna grow
Cause it's so dangerous, you'll have to sign a waiver

How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad
Trying hard not to smile though I feel bad
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral
Can't understand what I mean?
Well, you soon will
I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve
I have a history of taking off my shirt

It's been one week since you looked at me
Threw your arms in the air and said you're crazy
Five days since you tackled me
I've still got the rug burns on both my knees
It's been three days since the afternoon
You realized it's not my fault not a moment too soon
Yesterday you'd forgiven me
And now I sit back and wait till you say you're sorry

Chickity China the Chinese chicken
You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'
Watchin X-Files with no lights on,
we're dans la maison
I hope the Smoking Man's in this one
Like Harrison Ford I'm getting Frantic
Like Sting I'm Tantric
Like Snickers, guaranteed to satisfy
Like Kurasawa I make mad films
Okay I don't make films
But if I did they'd have a samurai
Gonna get a set of better clubs
Gonna find the kind with tiny nubs just so my
irons aren't always flying off the back-swing
Gotta get in tune with Sailor Moon
Cause that cartoon has got the boom anime babes
that make me think the wrong thing

How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad
Trying hard not to smile though I feel bad
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral
Can't understand what I mean? You soon will
I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve
I have a history of losing my shirt

It's been one week since you looked at me
Dropped your arms to your sides and said I'm sorry
Five days since I laughed at you
and said You just did just what I thought you were gonna do
Three days since the living room
We realized we're both to blame, but what could we do?
yesterday you just smiled at me
Cause it'll still be two days till we say we're sorry
It'll still be two days till we say we're sorry
It'll still be two days till we say we're sorry

I present to yee one of the most beautiful songs in Canadian Rock.

Rheostatics - King Of The Past

Check your watch;
You're fourteen and more.
Here lies a road not travelled before.
Down in the cellar,
There's beer on your breath.
And up off the floor,
Did you let him explore?

Check your map.
You're Louis Riel.
He rode a horse before you were born.
Out in the flatland,
The money's all spent.
And out in the field,
Your fate has been sealed.

I'm the King of the Past, but still I walk forward.
Won't close my eyes to the passing of time.
I'm in Fredericton Northern where the rivers make borders,
But planes fly right over them.

Check your map,
'Cause you've lost your watch.
It's buried under snow; its time does not stop.
Find your way homeward.
The rivers are freezing.
And under the ice,
The borders are changing.

I'm the King of the Past, but still I walk forward.
I step over hundreds of years yet to come,
While the eyes in the back of my head draw no borders,
Just rivers that channel the rain.

(Chase them away.)

Oh Yeah.
Did ya know the 'Statics used the world "californiacation" before the Red Hot Chili Peppers did? Well, they did. Bwahahaha!
