Actually, if you want an actual answer to that I can give you one...
Physiologically speaking, men could hypothetically have 1000's of children in their life, while women can only have a few. Therefore, it is in men's interest to be more sexually agressive and indiscriminate, while women have to be a lot choosier. This is actually true for most species...
