sooo....in the states until December????

 That means that we'll get another Detroit concert after all!!!! now....what would really be awesome is if they did Detroit, Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids, followed by Windsor.... I don't think I could handle the excitement of those 4 concerts  I'd skip a week of school if I had to. It's worth it...

Life is goooood!!!

I think I've collaborated on the big ol cm van idea before...

(but yeah, if I was living in Canada, I'd be getting very impatient to see a concert)

I hope they return to Boston soon, as the day they were in Boston in June, I was returning from Toronto, but I also have no problem with seeing a Canadian show. I never get carded, which is a big yay (I'm 24 but I look...20, maybe?)

Since I've already been to shows in Ottawa, Toronto and Saint John this year, and am going to one in Halifax, I'd love to see OLP somewhere in the eastern half of Canada as well. But with my luck, they'll be in Boston again when I'm in Halifax.

One question: are most of the shows general admission, or are they in places with seats? The fans in Harbour Station (Saint John, NB) Saturday night were really rude because I wanted to stand for Great Big Sea and they all wanted to sit and be able to see.

I'm just going to assume that on the offchance I see OLP in Canada, I'll be standing the entire show and no one will give a crap.

In clubs, they are usually in seats. In arenas, there are seats and GA floors

Not always. The Hard Hat (toledo concert) was a club, and it was all ga. no seats at all. It was kinda like a big barn with a stage.

LOL, when I first saw the Hard Hat, it reminded me of an abandoned warehouse, then someone on here I think told me that it actually was..

Yeah, most of the clubs I've been too don't have seating either .. maybe around on the sides but never in front of the stage .. it's always GA and I've always stood for an OLP concert .. even during the arena tours people will stand

i don't think I could sit for an OLP concert. If I had to, I'd get kicked out for jumping up and down too much.

From olp.cc: ~ As for tour plans, Raine mentioned that they would be touring Canada this fall and returning to the US in the spring for more shows.

Talk about being stingy with their Canadian fans

Seriously, we've only supported you all the way, even when SOT wasn't on MTV....

Whatever. I've been waiting for 2 years to see OLP live again, but they haven't returned to Ottawa yet...even with promises like "were touring there in the summer.."

I'm starting to lose interest. Of course, as soon as they announce it I'lll be soooooooooooooooo excited. But for now there's nothing to be excited about...I think there taking there canadian fans for granted.

I guess they're more concerned with becoming 'popular' in the u.s and they don't realize they're letting down all their Canadian fans.

but, if you think about it, a lot of their US concerts have been moderately close to Canada...Detroit, Toledo, Rochester, Syracuse, etc. Maybe one of the reasons they did that was so that the Canadian fans who live close to the US/Canada border could go to a few shows before the Canadian tour starts. hmm. maybe.

Yes but that's not the point .. Canada is their home (besides Steve but we've all embraced him anyway :D ) .. they've been in the u.s long enough and they owe it to their Canadian fans to do a REAL tour here and not run back to the u.s ... coming here for the Fall isn't even considered a 'tour' since they're going back to the u.s in the spring .. that's a ripoff for the Canadian fans who have been anxiously waiting to see them ..

*sigh* i don't like this :|

yeah. I totally agree. I'd be very disappointed and impatient if I were you guys.

but seriously, sure, I'm totally excited to get another Detroit concert, but the US again in the Spring??? why? I mean, how many US cities can you do? Are they going to repeat the spring/summer tour all over again or something???

strange.

blah. my opinion: be done with the american tour sometime in the late fall. then do canada. all of the americans who just found out about OLP and love them enough will go to the canadian concerts. Dude, if I had a way to get there, I'd at least go to concerts in Windsor, London and Toronto.

They should divide their time up equally instead of favoring the Americans and trying to get on MTV and increase their fan base over there .. their priorities sure seem to be screwed up
