Seriously, that is so true! lol, they were quite terrible. The X-Ecutioners were there too and they started doing a weird version of Walk This Way, and someone yelled "Please don't your going to ruin one of the best songs ever" that was pretty funny since you could tell they heard him. Oh and the Doves were there too and I must say, they sucked. I know they're supposed to be the new "critics fave" but they were just boring and depressing. Anyways, I think we're all in agreement when I saw Quarashi sucks. lol - Megan

Oh and in regards to your sig. I love Better Than Ezra! Saw them live a while ago they're awesome.

I thought Greenwheel was ok. On the album they sound waaaaaaaaay too much like MB20 for my own taste, but they were better live. Plus, the singer is so damn cute....you just want to hug him.

I did notice that he seems to have a lot of the arm muscle spasms that Raine does.....I wonder if he got it from him, lol.

I wasn't too impressed with Ash.....after Raine talked them up the way he did. However, chicks in rock bands are pretty damn cool......and their's is no exception.

Those of you that saw Greenwheel opening for OLP recently, about how long was their set at the show(s) you saw?

And I would like to say whomever says Doves sucks, are completely wrong and don't have any musical taste. Thank you.

You just read who said it, you can't remember long enough to address them by name? That's a pretty broad and offensive statement to make anyway, though.

And they didn't perform very well at the festival she's talking about, either. The sound was off at the entire festival, but it definitely stuck out during the Dove's set. It wasn't a good first impression for anyone.

I like the Doves well enough, though.

Yeah. I've never listened to The Doves, but boring depressing music is cool. My avatar comes from an old group that was very depressing and whose music was somewhat repetitive.

I didn't mean for it to be an offensive shot at her, I was using that as kinda like an announcement to everyone who doesn't like Doves.

Yeah, that was me, the Dove-hater, lol. I guess I shouldn't judge a band purely on one performance. The crowd hated them, and they knew it, so they might've not been trying extra hard to win us over. I think I'll d/l some songs and see how they are, but just because music is "dark and brooding" doesn't always mean it's good. - Megan

Oh, and whoever said something about their boring and depressing music Avatar ... Joy Division
?

They finished off their set that was probably between 30-40 minutes, with Forty-Six & 2 by Tool. I was really impressed.

Now we just have to get the rest of the CM to discover the awesomeness that was Joy Division. I love 'em. A lot better than after they became New Order, but I haven't listened to much of New Order's stuff, maybe I could learn to like them, too. What I have heard sounded too much like synthesizer-driven dance music. Not like Joy Division, just like . . . the eighties. :wtf:

Wow, I've managed to get a thread off topic!

haha. congrats. I would have to agree with you on the New Order thing, but the eighties rule just so ya know :P

We should start a crusade on exposing Joy Division to others, lol.
