Here's what mine sounds like inside of the studio editor:
http://files.clumsymonkey.net/Our%20Lady%20Peace%20-%20Heavyweight%20(faninor%20RMX%201).mp3

And here's what it sounds like after submitting without changing anything:
http://lstn.to/3ubP

Listen to the mp3, then compare these sections in each version:

0:22 - 0:25
1:41 - 2:35
2:52 - 4:38

I'm going to do a new remix without using the distortion FX... really liked how this sounds in the editor though.

The problem is definitely the distortion FX. I dropped it from all my tracks and made a few adjustments so that it works without distortion:

cool submitted that bug too.....thanks for the feedback it really helps.

wow! there is some great stuff on there now! wow kinda impressed with some of them and the number of submissions is growing every day - pretty happy this is all working out, i pushed pretty hard to make this remixer a reality and working with clubcreate on it was a good time to say the least.

Hopefully things like this will become more common and i think it has opened the door for some different and more interactive things.

Well... here's my entry. I might try to create one more mix before the contest closes... does anybody know when it closes?

It took my 2 days of solid work but I've finally finished my entry. I wasn't really going to enter, but I found a brilliant track when playing around and thought it would be a shame not to share it. It's slightly techno & synth heavy, but it's almost entirely made from sounds outside of the original song and is meant to really emphasise Raine's incredible lyrics & vocals. http://lstn.to/3vbF

Nice one, subdued yet compelling.

Another that I did: http://lstn.to/3uZr

Trusty -- will we be able to continue making new remixes indefinitely after the contest is over or will it get locked down?

Another bug, I made one with the vocals removed from the chorus but the submitted version plays all the vocals anyway:

So how awesome is this...?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QT3uWoKy ... r_embedded

"The great and infamous Jonathon Hooper!"

I'm not sure how to take that...

in·fa·mous
adjective /ˈinfəməs/

Well known for some bad quality or deed
- an infamous war criminal

Wicked; abominable
- the medical council disqualified him for infamous misconduct

(of a person) Deprived of all or some citizens' rights as a consequence of conviction for a serious crime

In all seriousness though, pretty awesome. I'm so grateful to the band and everyone who was involved in making this contest happen. It was a lot of fun.

I must admit I'm quite disappointed that I didn't place in the top 3, especially considering 1 & 2 sounded really clashy. However Mr Hooper made a fantastic remix that I'll be putting on to my iPod for sure :)
