Oh that is cheap for a fanclub. Seeing them at the Bowery would be very cool, hope you figure out how to get tickets!
And yeah, I'm right there with you with the bank/corporate arena names. They're so lame and impersonal.

they also help pay for em
some of the fees for naming rights for the stadiums can reach like.. 100 million over 25 years (sure thats not much but when the stadium costs 300-400 million plus to build.. getting that much back is huge)

its better than 100m in taxpayer dollars going to pay for the stadium (well 100m MORE in taxpayer dollars).

It is not so much the Corporate name as it is the changing of name every few years or so.. The Meadowlands original name was called Brendan Byrne Area-after the then Mayor or Governor. Then changed to Meadowland Arena, Then Continental Airlines Arena. I am sure it will be IZOD till something else comes along. That is what is confusing. I find myself asking when I go out of town -"Have I been here before?"
