The only thing I listened to this year was Fall Out Boy.

2009 needs to be a better year.

That was absolutely awful. They had the ball with a lead and less than three minutes left :(

I've been a colts fan for about six years while the Lions have been unwatchable. Fuck.

Oh man, time seems to be getting away from me. I'm thinking to myself, uh Matt, those NIN albums weren't this year. I feel like The Slip and Ghosts have been out forever. But no, I'm just crazy.

I wasn't sure either, so I had to go and look.

So, I'm a little late to this but I still wanted to put together a list.

(in no particular order)

Into Your Lungs - Hey Rosetta!
Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend
Midnight Boom - The Kills
The Midnight Organ Fight - Frightened Rabbit
For Emma, Forever Ago - Bon Iver (Yes, I'm aware it was self-released in 2007..)
The Glass Passenger - Jack's Mannequin
Acid Tongue - Jenny Lewis
Dreaming Of Revenge - Kaki King
In Ghost Colours - Cut Copy
In The Future - Black Mountain

Not much of a list...

I purchased 4 New CDs in 2008:

The Parlor Mob "And You Were A Crow" -band from NJ that puts on a great live show!

Minus the Bear "Acoustics" EP

Harrybu McCage CD - Jazz side project of Matt Cameron

and Hunter's Lullaby..obviously my #1 for '08.

Yeah, I suppose I could include the Hunter's Lullaby since it wasn't released in the US until '08. I've been listening to it's songs for months, but finally got the actual CD on Saturday. I had been looking for it everywhere but with no luck. But Saturday, I went to Walmart and they had two copies. I was reluctant to buy it since Walmart edits CDs. I thought to myself that maybe it was just for albums that have a parental advisery, and luckily I was right.

So yeah, Sidegeist and the Hunter's Lullaby.

I didn't buy or listen to 10 new albums this year. But here's my list anyway:

City & Colour - Bring Me Your Love
Ours - Mercy: Dancing For The Death of an Imaginary Enemy
Lovedrug - The Suckerpunch Show
Pedestrian - Sidegeist

Aaaaand that would be it. These are in no particular order, because I love them all equally.

I bought the least of everyone, I'm sure. All I bought were Matt Good's live at Massey Hall, and Ludo's 'You're Awful, I Love You'. That last one was a cheap purchase at Warped. I also fell in love with the album cover.

I also don't think I listened to any other albums that were released this year.

So. Yeah. Why I replied, I have no idea. I contributed nothing. Go me!
