Awesome or not, they slow Nikki's entire computer down!!

i have the slowest computer known to man. i can't run more than two programs at a time, or it dies. ask landon. he's seen it in all its glory before.

however, johnny's animated sig/avatar have never posed a problem. and this is coming from someone who can't even reliably watch a youtube video because my computer tries to kill itself when i do!

yeah her computer is super slow, youtube won't work, it takes forever to open an internet browser or any other program... so im thinking johnny's stuff is EH O.K. yo

Because it's ok on one person's crappy computer doesn't mean it's ok on another person's crappy computer.

My video card is absolute crap. I also have problems with YouTube videos.

And also, I'm pretty sure at one point multiple animated gifs were disallowed on the CM because they were getting out of control.

yeah, "at one point" but there hasn't been a SINGLE complaint for how long?

johnny's pretty much the only one with an animated gif, isn't he?

i remember back when landon and a few others had like, 4 in their sigs and then kept posting after each other. that was insane.

however, johnny's are very small. and nice. and fun to watch.

and just because it's not ok on one person's crappy computer doesn't mean it should ruin it for everyone else.

well, and the fact that if everyone had 1 in their sig, that would be a lot worse than one person with only 2!

i tried once and i broke everything, so i put in a duck instead. i enjoy the duck.

... I don't get what the problem is here. It's common courtesy. I'm not trying to destroy anything, I'm asking the guy to remove one image from his profile because it makes my computer slow down.

if kicker had said what landon said, i would have 'teamed up' with him. kicker and i have even butted heads in the past! i could have easily clicked quote on what he said and agreed with him. works fine on my pc, works fine on his.

and you haven't been around. so don't say it's getting old, cause you've just come back.

i understand it slows your computer. i've been there with my crappy computer. i've learned to live with it. sure, it would be nice for you if johnny would remove it...but it would also be nice now that i have a new computer if he would put on a super high def large sig so i can watch it in all its glory on my new computer.

i dunno. for johnny to have to take down one thing...when no one else has had a problem that we know of...that's shitty for him. cause he put thought, time, and effort into his sig and avatar.

seriously, guys? both arguments have about the same weight, so i don't really get why you're going against nikki alone. it's crappy for johnny to take down one of his gifs, but it's just as crappy for nikki that her computer slows down because of it. telling nikki to essentially shut up and put up with it doesn't seem fair if you're also not telling johnny the same thing.

what's wrong with compromise, anyway? johnny has two gifs. it slows nikki's computer down. johnny takes off one gif, nikki's problem goes away. johnny still has one gif in his profile, and nikki's happy. problem solved.

No need for name calling, that's pretty uncalled for. Find a way to compromise. Nikki, hit Johnny up on AIM and see if something can be worked out. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything. Besides, whenever I do make a decision it's the wrong one. We're all adults...as far as I know, so it should be easy to talk to each other respectably. Everyone go to your rooms, no dessert for you tonight.
