well, against everyone's advice, i've decided not to go. the logical side of me won, i guess, although i did spend most of today feeling miserable about it.
i'm trying to think of it in terms on "if i didn't have a credit card, would i go?" the answer is no. i'm still new to the whole credit world, and the thought of more than a thousand dollar debt appearing above my head all of a sudden makes me too nervous. plus, there are other financial things to think of too, like my student loan going into repayment in december. then there's the fact that as much fun as it'll be, the wedding isn't for someone who is super important to me. and my parents have been discouraging me against going ever since i told them i may not go after all, which isn't helping at all. i guess i'll just work a lot this year and go next year for my high school reunion. there's bound to be a wedding happening around then too.
guess you'll just have to keep me entertained at work during back to school week, sarah. lol
if you didn't have a credit card, you could take out a loan with less interest to pay back!
that actually may have been somewhat more difficult
and as sad as you are and as much as you wanna go to saskatoon (and i know how you feel about wanting to go back there given i miss halifax & TO more than ever right now but thats a whole other story)
imo, you made the right decision at this time, if you had the money kicking around or atleast more of the money kicking around (say 75% or more) i'd say go for it but if the tix cost that much and you dont have the money on hand relatively speaking then its not the best decision to make given you never know what may happen in the future and the credit available to you may come in handy in a pinch or whatever
