so, umm, this is probably a retarded question, but do the contents of the patch have to be olp related?

It's going to OLP, and its a fan thing, so I would sort of like to keep it in the relm of fandom. But ultimately I don't really care, and if you mail it, I'll go on.
I think there is one on the other quilt I linked back there thats just "YO" in big letters and "sup?" right below it in really small writing. Its funny and interesting and add's character so do what you want.
I'm not exactly going to censor these.

weellll, it'll have something olp related in it, but i was thinking of something prettyish that's just, y'know, pretty, instead of being centered on olp.

can people post their general ideas here so we:
a) have inspiration and
b) don't duplicate things too badly (not that it would necessarily be a bad thing, but I'd rather do something else if I knew mine would be too similar to someone else's)

That other quilt is awesome!! Ours will turn out better. 
Still trying to figure out what the heck to put on there. But I'll come up with something!

There are soo many ideas.
You could just write a message.
If you think Mike or any of the early music inspired you maybe attach a guitar pick and write a sentence on how that album affected you.
Someone could make a square for each of the album covers
Someone could make a square for each of the four guys. Or five guys. however you want to look at it.
You could print out a meetup photo and iron-on transfer it and just write about how OLP helped make that happen.
Someone could represent the hub.
You could attach stuff to artistically represent your favorite song.
Someone could make a square to rep. Kerzweil since a lot of people read that book after SM. Or even rep. Oli for that matter.
You could cut out a sock and write "OLP rox my socks!"
You could quote something funny someone said.
I want to see someone represent the province they are from. Like put an out line of the shape of BC or whatever and just say "BC loves OLP!"
If you're into sewing you could make some intricate pattern.
If you arn't then you could make a colourful square by writing on colourful fabric.
If you want to sew a couple of pieces together but don't have a sewing machine, cut it all out and finish everything you need to and mail it to me like that and I'll finish your sewing.
Being colourful is what will give this thing character, so get some crazy fabric and write on that.
You could make a "TOUR AUSTRALIA" square.
You could make an "I hate gail!" square for all I care.
You could attatch a ticket stub from their first concert.
You could draw or cut out a speaker and a computer and say "I stoped listening, but I keep visiting" or something along those lines because I know its true for a lot of you.
Someone could draw a road and say that they would follow OLP on tour.
You could make a thug life square.
If someone wants to find that pic of Raine with his hand down his pants and put that on, It'll make me happy.
Okay, so I'm going to stop now.
