In my experience tests tend to be a little easier then the homework. Ie like the homework questions but without any nasty algebra (unless you're allowed a calculator). Just make sure you understand the homework. Then if he hits you with something random you can be assured that probably most of the rest of the class is as screwed as you are and you'll get scaled. Examples from class can be important, but if they're that nasty hard compared to the homework then I wouldn't worry too much.

I have 5 hours of class on Monday and Wednesday with no break, followed directly by 2 hours of work with no break. Friday is the same, but I have 1 hour off instead of one of the classes. Oy.

Well, today I have 3 hours and 45 minutes of class and 5 hours of work with no breaks...blah.

Philosophy got cancelled today, so I went into work to get some coffee on the way home and they didn't believe me that I wasn't just skipping.
