Best Christmas movie is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"... the ORIGINAL cartoon one, not the stupid Jim Carrey one.

This is oh so true!

Wasn't he using something metal as a target? I thought that it wasn't kickback, but that the pellet ricocheted and hit his glasses.

nah, it was just a paper target.

But yeah, clearly Die Hard and the Grinch are totally believable, but a little kid getting a black eye while using his new air rifle is completely unrealistic and just ruins the film. :P

I'm quite certain he hit metal. It may have been a paper target placed in front of something metal. But you can clearly hear a metallic clunk after he shoots.

Hmm, that's quite possible.

Too bad the 24 hours of A Christmas Story on TBS is over, or I'd watch it again to find out.

No one would sell a metal target that says "daisy air rifle" on it, those pellets ricochet like mad!

I didn't see it... it's too blasphemous to me. It's a simple cartoon movie about how money and gifts and junk don't matter... then they took it and threw millions of dollars into it to try to make as much money as possible from it. It's so against what the message of the story is.
