I've been saying for years that I was going to do Carnival. Hopefully I can follow through with that.

xjsb125 wrote:It's actually been quite frequent over the last few years. A number of pro wrestlers who were big stars in the late 80's and early 90's have died over the last 8 years. Most of them from some sort of heart complication. I believe Eddie's death was due to a heart condition he developed from years of drug and alcohol abuse. WWE has supposedly implemented a very strict drug and cardiovascular testing program for all it's entertainers. I'm not so sure that steroid use is as prevalent among them as abuse of alcohol, pot, cocaine, and pain killers.
haha, every one of those guys is on steroids, come on! there's no way you get to look like the rock, or john cena or brock lesnar or WHOEVER without taking roids. these guys are like 300 lbs of raw muscle. how else are you going to add that kind of mass? R-O-I-D-S! hahhaa.
but yeah i'm sure all that other stuff is a problem too.

I do think some of the WWE guys got their mass through legit methods.....not all of the WWE guys are ripped beyond conventional methods.
Brock Lesnar was that big back in college.....he went to the U of MN, and I have a couple of friends who went to school with him, and have a lot of pictures with him. They claim he did not take 'roids. True? I can't say....

brock lesnar is DEFINITELY on roids. look at his neck. that cannot be achieved through natural means.
look at Andrei Arlovski, for instance. this guy is the UFC heavyweight champion of the world. he works out FOR A LIVING. literally spends 8-10 full hours a day in the gym, training different methods INCLUDING strength and muscle building.
this guy has a body fat percentage of probably somewhere in the area of 6%, which is about as low as you can go without dying. he is a mesamorphic body type, meaning he builds muscle easily.
6'4", 240 RIPPED lbs, and his muscle mass doesn't even BEGIN to approach that of say, chris benoit. i know there are different methods of building mass, and i know arlovski probably trains for strong, explosive muscles rather than big ones, but i'm sorry i just do not buy the story that there is that much of a difference.

I'm not aruging with you, Chris.....just telling ya what I know. I never said Brock doesn't use them. Hell, he's got one huge mo'fo neck on him now. Back when he wrestled for the U of Minnesota, he wasn't nearly as big.
The UFC/Pride/Etc. guys are nuts, but they gain their size the right way. I love that shit. I love the fact that Spike TV shows UFC each and every week, now.

WWE wrestling is all about the look, so obviously when the wrestlers are training, they're training for size.
Admittedly a lot of them are on roids (Triple H most definitely- he went from ripped to just big and fat with huge man-boobs because his training couldn't keep up with his roids), but to make a sweeping statement that they're all on roids is just.. well, stupid. Name one that's on roids, I'll name five that aren't.
And if you think all pro wrestlers are on roids... there's no help for you. But I may have misinterpereted your 'haha, every one of those guys is on steroids' line as all wrestlers instead of all WWE wrestlers.

Everybody must remember X-Pac??? He started out earlier in the WWF as the "1-2-3 Kid"???
He was one, that never juiced....I met him at a Meet 'n Greet at the Mall of America back in like 1996.

haha i meant all the big fucking guys in the WWE that you think might be on roids. i'm sure most of those 220-240 lb "cruiserweights" are not.
but really, outside of pro-wrestling, name one other major sport where you have athletes that weigh in excess of 300 pounds and aren't fat. the rock is 275 pounds and every inch of him is shredded. ROIDS. PERFECT example of what i'm talking about is former UFC HW champ tim sylvia. guy weighs close to 300, cuts to 265. he took steroids earlier in his career because he found it impossible to add weight to that size without most of it ending up as fat or "soft muscle". so he took roids so he could look as cut @ ~300 as others do at 240. this guy is 6'8" btw, his frame is even better suited for supporting that kind of weight than the rocks, for instance, and yet the rock is a rippling mountain of muscle, and tim syliva is all fat.
if they look too big to be true, THEY ARE. steroid use is RAMPANT in bodybuilding, why should it be any different in wrestling, given that they are almost identical sports?
