Swimming's important... you can't be in a life or death situation that requires you to throw a ball well or bike someplace... but if you fall into water? You're screwed.

Seriously. Drowning is way high up on causes of accidental death.

anyways... i first understood that to mean you were giving lessons in drowning and was confused. it took me a while to understand what you meant

Well I figured my fear of drowning/phobia of water (that doesn't include pools, yay shallow end/deep area i can stand in!) would prevent that kind of thing.

Yay lessons! I should warn you I took swimming lessons for years and years. Like 4 or 5 even. I started at yellow level and made it to orange (the level above). Then my parents gave up on me. Cause I kept failing.
