I AM ME wrote:see that's what i'm talking about, why is it insulting for a person to joke about a straight person to be gay?

i would be insulted if someone called me gay due to the fact that i have absolutely no attraction to men

its the same reason a homo would feel insulted if they were called straight

gays are all proud of there sexuality, and i could care less if they are or not
but the problem is a lot of them try and shove it on everyone else with their parades and shit

hell if someone went and tried to have a big demonstration of how they were proud to be straight they would be shot down and considered gay bashers

I guess we should be pissed off about that big speech that Martin Luther King did infront of that monument in Washington (can't be more specific because I haven't studied that part of history much yet). All those black people, getting together and saying they're proud to be black, and don't want to be discrimated against anymore.

tell me how does race have anything to do with sexuality

and its now alright if gay people discriminate towards straight people
i love these fuckin idiots that think only gays are treated poorly

"oh no, their could never be a homo discriminating towards a straight person. oh the terrible straight people"
ya, gays are totally innocent

if you still cant understand me, my point is that their is a huge double standard
and you make a terrible agument due to the fact that race and sexuality are not linked in any way

Yeah anyways,

someone asked what two-spirited meant and i would like to know as well... i just came across this term a couple days ago for the first time and i dont know what it means

also may i say that i find it a little silly that people keep making up new labels and identities for different kinds of sexuality, seeing as i personally believe that every person expresses their sexuality in a completely unique way, much like their personality. it makes me smile that any attempt to label it just keeps getting further and further splintered up. i guess thats the only way to really work the ideas into acceptance in todays society, though.

yes, what the hell is two-spirited

and i have to agree,
a lot of the labels are stupid
hetrosexual
homosexual

is there much more needed?

and dont give me bi-sexual
if your a guy who sleeps with men (even if you do still sleep with women), your still gay

same if your a women who sleeps with both genders, guess what
your still a lesbian

why does homosexuality trump heterosexuality and not the other way around?
for example if an otherwise gay man had a one night fling with a woman, why doesnt that make him straight?

And I love how society has to make everything a black or white issue. No middle ground. Just simple contrasting definitions that have been around for ages and are held up as the only right way of thinking because they've been around for ages.

wow
this two-spirited thing is fucking stupid

if it is true then couldnt a man (really a woman in a mans body)
and a woman (really a man in a womans body)
be attracted to each other?

which would make them not anything but hetrosexual?

define
heterosexual - some one who has sex with members of the opposite sex

homosexual - someone who has sex with people of the same gender

now if a gay guy has a one night fling with a woman, guess what
he's still gay due to the fact that he still has sex with men

and if a "straight" man goes and has sex with another man, well then he's not exactly hetrosexual anymore is he due to the fact that hes just fucked another guy

But in that sense, wouldn't the gay guy no longer be considered gay because he just slept with a woman?

Rusty's hit it spot on.

By your definition, a heterosexual is someone who has sex with only the opposite sex, but a homosexual is someone who has sex with the same sex and/or the opposite sex. And that doesn't make any sense at all.

Besides which, isn't ones sexuality "defined" by attraction, not sexual activity?

well attraction or sexual activity
it doesnt make much of a difference because your probably going to be having sex with members of the gender your attracted to

no because she said if he had a one night stand with a woman, meaning the gay guy still sleeps with men

so if hes still sleeping with men i would say he's still pretty gay wouldnt you?

Nelson: Floor baby, floor baby!
Lisa: You're making fun of him for something you made him do!
Nelson: Well, you're gay!
Lisa: People who accuse others of being gay are often covering up their own latent homosexuality.
Nelson: Yeah, well, (rolls off bus) bullies rule!

Having sex with members of only the opposite gender is what being heterosexual is so that has to make sense

And I didn’t say a homosexual is someone who sleeps with the same sex AND/OR the opposite sex

I said
a homosexual is someone who sleeps with the ONLY the same sex
or someone who sleeps with the same sex AND the opposite sex (not and/or)

So weather your sleeping with only the same gender or your sleeping with both genders in the long run your still fucking your own gender, which would make one homosexual
