What has happened has led us here, and I don't really blame past mistakes for current ones. I know that people can say "Well, if this didn't happen in the 70s and 80s, we wouldn't be having all these middle east problems today." Or, "If they had just built those levees in New Orleans better, the city wouldn't be ruined and there wouldn't be so many people starving, dead, without homes." What matters is how we deal with things in the present, and if we aren't smart enough to figure things out on our own and deal with them the best we can, we only have ourselves to blame. Same goes with any future generations.

We aren't even helping ourselves in the present.

If people don't want to cut down and stop global warming, then fine, they suffer from these hurricanes.

I laugh when I see Bush on TV upset about these hurricanes, he's the one who refuses to do ANYTHING about global warming, yet he is upset about these hurricanes. Well I have news for him, they will get bigger, and more common, and until he decides to do something about the root of the problem, then he can watch this happen over and over every year.

It's the people who I feel sorry for.

The world as a whole refuses to do anything, not just Bush. He alone is not the sole cause of global warming. It's been an issue for a long time. And why would'nt Bush or anyone effected by a hurricane be upset. What do you expect him to say? "Well gee wizz, clearly this natural disaster is completely my fault so I shouldnt care at all about how many lives are ruined." Of course not. He's going to be upset.

Of course he upset, but unwilling to change.

There are 250,000,000 people in the USA, its got a huge part in these hurricanes, of course, so does the rest of the world, but he has to take control.

Until he makes some change, he should not complain about these hurricanes. Im not saying fix it, but at least AKNOWLEDGE it.

yeah let's blame bush for global warming..everyone basically blames him for everything else. the problems we have today have been brewing for a long time, mainly because we havent advanced our technology enough in a lot of areas..automobiles should be getting a lot more miles per gallon than they do today...global warming, did clinton, bush, regan, etc fix the problem? its easier said than done.

Of course its easier said then done. Its also easier to not do anything, then to TRY and get momentum going to fix this issue.

Bush has until recently, did not even believe global warming existed.

Some blame goes towards him. The rest of the world is also to blame, but now is the most critical time, and the presedent of the worlds most powerful country isnt even making an effort.

Now, we're getting this masive storms, warmer temperatures, and its getting worse.

And hes doing NOTHING.

not all the blame in the world should go to the president of the us just because he's out there and because he is at fault of so many things already. bush is doing nothing about global warming, but then no one else really is either.

mmmf.

The fact of the matter is... society sucks. Things need to change. They never will. The world is going to implode on itself because people are too selfish to realize they're ruining the environment.
