i didn't want to point it out directly, but it's all the labelling and the hinting at superiority to people who read spin magazine that bothers me about this thread.

Sean you probably have really good taste in music, and it pisses me off as much as anybody when people think they're "trendy" for listening to whatever cool new band they hear on the radio, but essentially you're doing the same thing by calling it trendy to listen to whatever you read about or discover from a label.

That being said, i'm equally proud of my musical tastes, and i think this thread is a good idea (hell i'm still running on fumes from alan's recomendations half the time). Just cut out the labelling a bit; i understand you might be joking, but it'll piss less people off this way.
