maybe cause excpet for Nikki, Melissa and Monkey I was the only one who went off the cm. if others please let us know. I know Nikki and Melissa are probably crashing..

okay here is the review( also check out my review on olp.cc)

What they played
picture, angels, innocent, starseed, wipe, where are you, clumsy, love and trust, boy( which is amazing live  ), future, Superman,
encores: 4am( with just Raine on vocals, Steve on keys and Joel on guitar), SOT, and naveed

here is my review. there were a few clitches here and rthere. Nothing major, but a little noticable. The band sounded amazing. I think Bowery is a n awesome place for a show. One of my faves.. I was in front with Nikki & Mel.( in front of Steve)I was in front of Raine... There was this girl who came up front and was writing notes the whole time. During the encorres Raine said to her are you taking notes etc. She said yeah she was from the beast in Buffalo.. He said to her anything you want to hear then went into 4AM.. I saw her writing. She was right next to me. it was odd cause she whispered to me How much she loved the band etc, but I could see some of what she was wrting. I know a few people who write for mags and such.. I just found it funny some of the things she was wrting. I doubt those will get into the mag

as for the set. I love how they are doing Superman now.. esp the ending.. I also loved the new keyboard/guitar only on 4am.. Out of the new songs I am still loving Angels, Future, and Where are you live. I also love BOY. probably after Angels/Future my fave song off the cd.. The sound was amzing. This venue has a really great sound system so most shows sound great.. only problem is you really are up close if in front.. I joked with Nikii before hand I could turn off the amp.. LOL..

I will put some pictures up when I get them..

SIDE NOTE TO NIKKI AND MELISSA
"I got to pee real bad"and can I get a Hiney with diet coke please

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

 Silly Steve.

So yes, it was great. And so is the bootleg Monkey made. 8-)

... well, it will be if I can my freaking computer to rip it correctly. :wall:

Umm, gosh, what to say... oh, I took lots of pictures, which are of course shared on the hub.

One of the coolest parts of the night was how loud the audience was singing along. Raine was visibly (and audably) moved by it... when he thanked us (many many times), you could hear how happy he was. :) It was awesome. Ugh, I can't wait to listen to it again, why does my computer hate meeeee?!?!?!?!?

Also, I got a Steve pick!!! He put it right in my hand on stage. Haha, I wasn't even really paying attention when he did it, so I just all of a sudden felt something being pressed into my palm and I looked up and there he was! Oh, and he remembered my name. :D

Umm... hmm... what else... I dunno. I'll maybe think of stuff and add it here later. Maybe even my full review if I ever get around to writing one.

Oh yeah, and it took us like 5 hours to get to the venue (mostly on the subway getting lost and running around in circles at one stop... but also taking the subway too far and ending up in Brooklyn... oh, and trying to find parking at the train station in Hamilton, NJ :uh:). Then, we were lucky enough to get to spend the night at Penn Station in NYC cos we missed our train home by about 5 minutes! Yay!!! Thanks again, Gail, for getting us there. We'd still be lost in the city right now without your help. But yeah, we didn't get home from the concert until 6:30am.

!!!!!!!

Oy. What a long day yesterday was. Err... I guess 2 days ago now.

Nikki I founnd out why he drinks the Diet Coke with the beer. He told me cause drinks alot on stage.. it offsets it. I still think that is Nasty.

Also got him to write Sooz. It does look like 2005 upside down. Scanner is broke here now so can't scan it in. I also have photos for you guys. Will try to get up within the next few days. . You should of had monkey let me tape last night. OMG. that was an amzing show. Better then Wednesday plus they did Leave a Light on and World On A String   I also gave him the message that they should of came out earlier cause you guys just missed your train. he said sorry..

Here is a review form the 9/01/05 show.
I will scan the offical one later. I got one for my nephew. He is a huge OLP fan and went to the show last night. I am taking him to the Webster show also.. I also got to introduce him to the band so it was a good night for him..

Leave A Light On( made me teary eyes live  )
Picture
Angels
innocent
Starseed
Wipe That Smile...
Circles
Clumsy
Naveed
Where Are You
Boy/Future
Superman'sDead

Encores:
4A.M
World On A String

they had SOT but didn;t do it. I think this song is giving a certain singer problems..

now about the show. I got there late. After doors opened so I was surprised I was in front row. In front of Steve( and I didn;t even try this time  ).. The opening band Stand are from Ireland. They weren't bad. It sucked cause the poor guitarist was having problems all night with his foot pedals and sound. But he continued on and did a good job considering all the crap they had to deal with .. No sound..

OLP came on about 10:30.. They opened with LALO.. Then broke into Picture. From where I was standing it was abit hard to hear Raine sometimes. I think cause you are under the guitar amp..During *Wipe* he told the audience they had a new CD that just came out.. These kids handed him a cd. He asked if it was their band.. they said yeah. He said anyone else have a cd coming out or out they want me to have. Someone passed up the liner notes to HIPT.. He took it and started reading some of the things done while the CD was being made. When he got to the part that said 10 recording studios. He said that was crazy. .. He read only about 5-10.. not all. Then said "Get involved with the world". During *Circles* it seemed Steve held the longest note in history if you ask me. I swear it must of been like 1-2 minutes long..

I love how they are doing Boy into Future.  Sounds amazing live.. During Future Steve broke one of his strings( I actually got that cause he threw it down and it landed near my hand  ). During *Naveed* the audience sang the "Trying hard to understand" part.. Raine only sang the It's gone part along with the audience. :duncan: i am loving the ending of Superman now. I don't know if anyone else is, bu tI love how they extended the ending of the song. it sounds amazing..

I was hoping they would do* World On A String* . They closed with it. It soudned great live   ..Duncan later told us it was the first time they performed it. Hopefully it will stay in the set.

Overall it was a great rock show. The audience was really into it. There was a small group or people infront of Raine rocking out all night. :duncan:
I took some photos so I will post them when I can..( Nikki I used my night flash so they should be good).. After the show one of the security guys came to me scolding me for using the flash. He said you were flashing all night in front of the guy's face( Steve)..I only used the flash a few times.. So I wasn't doing it all night as he said. after the show I was talking to Joel.. He asked me did Steve complain. I said no. He said then why do you care what some security guy says. The band doesn't have aproblem with you. That made me feel bettter. There were other people using flash. Even though they said don't use a flash The band didn't really seem to really care. They seem to be really enjoying themselves on stage last night. This was really one of the best OLP shows  ..

I got Steve's pick.. It was funny cause I didn't ask for it and was a bit surprised I got one. I was infront of him. He would look down every once in awhile and give me a smile. A few songs he actually sang along as I was. When they left the stage after Superman- He leaned down and handed me his pick.. then threw a few out to the audience.. I gave it to my newphew.. Later when I spoke to him afterwards he said to me. I see you were having fun tonight  ..I always feel a bit embarassed when they notice you from stage.. Esp if more then one time..

We got to meet the band afterwards. They were going up to Moncton for the Stones Show on Sat.. There were a few people outside. Jeremy is a real trip. This kid was wearig a Scott Baio shirt.( I think he said he was related to him ) Jeremy goes we have to get Scott in the photo. He was joking around with all of us. It was a real threat. It is always a pleasure to talk with Jeremy.. Always makes me laugh and nothing wrong with some laughter in our lives. :D It seemed like Steve was a tour guide last night. This guy was asking him where abouts he lived while in Boston. This other girl was talking mid-west with him and he was telling me what to check out when I go back to LA..
Hi I am Steve and I will be your guide today..

Over all it was a great rock show. Duncan also told us they were going back to Naveed to do some songs. He said they were thinking of doing HOPE  again. SWEET.. That would so make my day cause That is my Fave OLP song..I pretty much giving up hope of seeing HOPE done again.. That and Blister.. Hey it took me 20 years to see U2 do Gloria again.. Maybe i will see OLP do Hope again. I just don't want to wait 20 years..

by time we get to that show It will be an amazing set. I have no doubt on that. I hope World On A String stays. I love the whole I see the good...part.

I just remember a few other things.. The night before I got one of Raine's picks.. I dropped it when I shock Joel's hand. He gave me one of his..Side note. I actuall saw Joel before but didn't really know. He was with Alannis the times I saw her.. Small world.. HE told me he give me one of Raine's at the next show.. When I saw him he had the woman with him get one. She gave me a black OLP pick.. When I turned it over it said Steve. LOL.. two in one night.   Still need the Raine one though. i gave them away and the one I has I lost..

Got to talk to James( Drum/Bass tech) it was funny cause he asked me if I figured out how many shows I have been to. I told him.. He said that is it. I could lie and nobody would know the difference.  .. That was funny cause I ran into a few people the night before who thought I went to more shows then I did. It just seems that way.. It was good to talk to him. Told me that Kevin is now with Finger Eleven and we all know Shawn is with Simple Plan.. For those of you who don't know. Shawn was their Guitar tech for many years and Kevin was their tour Manager forever and a day it seems..
