Man...back when I joined it was filled with all these college kids and it was hysterical. Now its like 9 year-olds who are upset that their virtual pets are starving.
Speaking of which, what ever happened to Tamagotchi's?

I was really into neopets in grade five. Almost every lunchtime someone would be playing it on the classroom computer. I've logged on a few times over the past few years when the depths of my boredom reached all-time lows.

i think the tamagotchi craze is beginning to start up again. i know a bunch of kids who have new and improved ones that are reeeally expensive.
and of course the digivices were practically the same thing.

Can the new ones pause? Mine used to beep in the middle of the night, and almost die when I went to school.

People in our school used to bring them... I remember one girl constantly getting yelled at for it, and she'd constantly defend her pet to the teacher saying it'd die if she didn't care for it in class.

She was funny.

They got banned from our school because people kept losing them or disrupting class.

We didn't have enough people with them for them to be a problem... it was high school.
In fact, kids in my class made fun of her (jokingly) for having one.

Ah. It's quite a different story for grade threes.
