the power of Media.. USA spends money on wars under pretense we are fighting terrorist. Then how come everyday people are still dying.. Howe come we haven't foudn the weapons or mass destruction yet or Bin Linden.. Bush is a warmonger..Plain and simple..

there is so much talk about all of this now.. I read this morning that Blair got Bush to give more money for this..

Then I read an editorial from one of the editors saying it isn't about giving money, but they need to educate..

Excuse me if I seem stupid but wouldn't helping a country out of poverty also mean helping them with education cause they can build a school..or train someone to be a teacher..

I watched the Brad Pitt interview last night on Prime time live and while everyone wanted to know if he was or wasn't doing Angelina.. I found it fascinating on the people of Africa he showed. They showed how loans were helping these people.. Soemthing about they get a loan and that loan helpos them to prosper and pay back. It was moving..

The US didn't promise anything new because of Blair's visit - all those amounts of money they're talking about were already promised ages ago

I fgound the figures. the top one was norway with .85 % of their GNI,

Britain was .30 and USA was only .16 %..

One shot junkie, I get a little depressed beacause people only see the concert but not what it is suppose to be for. I don't think of this 24/7, but it one of the charities I am very passsionate about( along with anything dealing with cancer-I lost family memebers to cancer over the years so i support several cancer organizations)

So I hear Green Day will be also playing at the Live 8 concert which now there music sucks and there older music was a lot better. This is Green Day I'm talking about. Green Day really dissapointed with their new album. In my opinion after listening to thier music from their new album they now SUCK!!!

um, i haven't heard anything bout green day playing live 8 but i'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you and say they do not suck.

their older music don't, but thier new music (their new album) does

I only say that Sinead because of a few things. First off, you don't open yourself to other sides of arguments very well. You assume that the people that support opposite views (i.e. Harper and Bush) are evil, and you use a lot more emotion than logic. In other words you argue with your heart and not your mind, which can be dangerous and make you come across as exagerated and close minded.

I also just heard on FNC that Pink Floyd will be playing live 8 concert as well. I guess its in London.

Yeah Pink Floyd are playing in London.

And Green Day's new album is excellent, and I really like the old stuff too.

If you're too dense to realize it, that was sarcasm.

If you're going to say that you dislike a band, it makes you sound really immature and stupid to say "OMG THEY SUCK1!!!!!".

First I didn't say OMG, 2nd off I hate it when people use OMG and don't write out Oh My God it take 3 seconds unless your a very slow typer. Are you a slow typer?

There music is not good to me. How is that immature. I like their older music but now they suck with their newer music. It's annoying and awfull So that is why I think they suck. I have my other reasons, but I don't want to say them on here.
