Take a look at the tech demos for the PS3:

a-fucking-mazing.

There were a couple of times where I got a weird feeling like I was watching something real (during the doc oc video, when they put him in the conference lighting, for one).

Can you tell I'm excited about E3 and the new consoles?

Robbo, did you do some thread editing? Cause I certainly don't remember typing up that title. :Johnathan:

ahh, after reading several posts in this thread, I have discovered that you did change the title. :clumsy:

My electronics stocker was telling me about the new consoles last night. He said the PS3 has 9 processors in it, or something like that. That's insane. Isn't the Nintendo system supposed to be more virtual reality based?

That ps3 looks pretty damn sweet.

More than anything, the killzone demo impressed me the most. Absolutely stunning.

Well, there was a rumour that it was going to be controlled like Tom Cruise in Minority Report (there was even a video of it), but that was a hoax.

Nintendo hasn't said anything about what they're doing different. But, the lack of a controller in any images released would suggest that they are going to having something new in that department.

OH MY GOD!

This is fucking hilarious!

http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/adventure/m ... 25268.html

Watch the video! ... Note, this video was made on PS2. It's just a teaser for MGS4 (which will be on the PS3).

It's funny, because there was a rumour about Hideo not being involved, but that is now dispelled. Plus, the rest of the video is just fucking hilarious!

And I've officially decided to get a PS3. Same reason I got a PS2 and not an Xbox: MGS.

Now it's just a matter of deciding whether or not to get more than one system (possibly a Nintendo system, should they do something really great).

Now that's a good clip.

What sucks though is that Hideo said "You'll have to wait until E3 2006 to see the actual game". Boo!

It's such a long wait, though. Really, the PS3 won't be out until just before then. But still. :(

I'm pretty sure they didnt show the controller because they dont want anyone stealing their design or ideas.

I'm getting all of them. When I hear the release dates, I am heading down to Walmart and placing the pre-orders. :)

Didn't anyone read the article from the link in the first post in this thread?!?! I haven't heard one person mention that the PS3 will have 2 teraflops of overall performance! TWO TERAFLOPS! Have you ever heard anything so impressive? I am in awe that no one is talking about that...it's amazing. And think about this...if I actually knew what a teraflop was, I would be even MORE excited about it!

I can't seem to get myself excited for something that isn't being released until 2006. But I will. Oh yes, I will.

By the way, anyone else think "Star Trek" at the title of this thread?

Teraflop is now the word of the day.

Teraflop: A measure of computing speed equal to one trillion floating-point operations per second.

(still don't know what it means)

(still drool-worthy)
