Unfortunately, that month of release has since changed.
When the date of release is 100% firm, you'll be the first to know.
I knew it was too good to be true. I now think that, the new single will be out in June, and the new album will be out in Augest. If the new album doesn't come out in Augest, I think people are going to get very pissed. Not me, but other people.

People already are pissed. They shouldn't be. But they are.

at this point and time I really don't care anymore.
When it comes out I will get it.. When they tour I will see them..
so I really don't care when as long as it does eventually see the light of day..
The only thing bothering me is why has it taken so long to get it out. They can't still be recording. Who knows maybe OLP have gotten to be perfectionist in their old age.. Cause lord knows they apparently had enough material for a release..

I liked the Olden Days. I remember I didn't even know about Happiness & The Fish coming out, I just found out it was out, possibly a few months after it had been released, and I went and bought it. Probably the same thing for Spiritual Machines. So much easier...
Well to be honest I've all heard so many different release dates for this album that at this point I wont believe any until I actually have the cd in my hand. But I'm not complaining let them take their time and do what they have to do to get it right. I have 4 brand new albums from other bands that I have to get absorbed before I can get to OLP. God if they were to release something right now I'd be swamped with new music, it'd cause some kind of musical overload.
After talking with Duncan on Saturday, we found out that the band has went back and re-worked a lot of songs. He said that they changed the chorus to one song while they were doing the final mixing. I guess that is one of the things slowing them up. But like Gail said, when the album comes out, I'll be there to buy it.

No, he knew about it. I guess I'll share the album info he gave us. The cd has 13 tracks on it. Vampires was the last song to be cut from the tracklist, but they are hoping it will be on a compilation cd in the future (I'm assuming for some sort of soundtrack). He had a copy of the album, before it's final mix, he was going to play for us, but we couldn't get it to play in Stace's stereo. He brought an Ipod loaded with songs that were cut from the album, or rough/early versions of songs. He played 3 or 4 tracks off that. I can't remember the names of them, but I do remember one of them being a rough mix for Picture. We found out the band played a show last year, and this past summer at a little club in Hawaii. I asked Duncan what they were going to do with all the songs that didn't make the album and he said the that he, personally, would like to release another album not too long after the release of the next album. I don't remember anyone asking him to confirm the name of the album. I recall him saying that Not Afraid was cut from the album and that he felt that they should have stuck with the version they did at the Junos (more stripped down). We showed him Robbo's Vampires album cover, and he chuckled and said "That's...nice."
