Mein Kampf becomes a best seller in Turkey

Serious discussion area.

I've never even been monitered I dont think. My parents just trust me. I've read alot of controversial stuff in the past, they think its neat that I take an interest in stuff like it.

My parents trust me too, and they've never been like, "What are you reading and why are you reading it?". It's been more of just a general observance over my behavior and what I read. I don't lock myself in my room to read all the time, I just read wherever. So it's not like they don't have an idea about what it is. If I was reading Mein Kempf when I was 14 they'd probably watch me closely and make sure it wasn't an indication of something else. Of course...if there was an indication of something else...I'd probably try really hard to hide it. Hm. Nevermind, I just disproved my own point.

:lol:
I know what you mean though, except for ONE book, i've never hid what i've been reading. Usually i love to read in bed, or in my window seat in my bedroom, but the door is always open. Alot of times i've had discussions about what i've read, mein kempf included.

my parents normally know what i'm reading, and they haven't ever said "you can't read that!" until what my dad said yesterday. although then he did say, "if you need to read it, well fine, but i'd rather you don't." i never expected him to say that about any book. i guess i'm just used to reading what i want, i've never had to go "hey mom/dad, can i read this?" and i do read a lot.

Well, I for one am glad that I'm free to read whatever I want. There's one thing I take for granted every single day.

My mom is a librarian, so I'm usually asking her what I should read. I've never, that I remember, been told not to read a book, but I do recall getting the idea when I was twelve that she wasn't ecstatic about my reading Anne Rice.

I think I read an Anne Rice book. It was about this witch named Rowan. Well, it was two books really.

i hate all books. so that's my position.
Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.

Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.
my boots are broken my brain is sore, fer keepin' up with thier little world, i got a heavy load.
gonna leave 'em all just like before, i'm big city bound, your always 17 in your hometown
