I am 5'7. I'm pretty tall for a girl around here too. I'd bet the average is 5'4 ish. My mom is as tall as you Sinead, and she's one of the three tallest women I know.

it's also annoying that i'm taller than most of my friends - i always feel like the jolly kim giant whenever i'm out with them. :roll:

I'm taller than most of my friends too. I like to say there's something in the water in this town. I was also one of the tallest on the basketball team, and I was just a guard. Not to mention the tallest cheerleader and the second tallest on the drill team.

Yeah, boys really shouldn't be allowed to be under 5'9. It just makes things difficult. Where did this weird idea come from that guys have to be taller than girls?

i once dated a guy who's 6'4...and this was back before i hit my final height of 5'2..
so he was well beyond a foot taller than me.
